In an effort to simplify and make more clear. I suggest the following changes:
- FreeRange%, MinasTirith%, and PieRunner be set as sub-categories of a "Chicken%" or "Passive%" parent category. They are all the same type of run around avoiding mobs type runs and I think we can merge them and make room for more types without cluttering the top level categories. (Some of the seasonal things can go in here as well)
- EredLuin%, Bree%, and Shire% be set as sub-categories of a "Starter%" parent category. Similar to #1, I think we can de-clutter the top parent categories a bit. Additionally, a "Swanfleet%" category can be added since we have the new starter zone and it is available for FTP and VIP.
Once this decluttering has happened, we can look at discussing/adding some small fellowship, fellowship, and raid categories. Maybe even adding class subfilters to Levels 1 - 10 and Intro% as well.
Let me know if anyone disagrees or has comments to add on to this. My hope is with more people running stuff and the 64 bit servers revitalizing things a bit we might get a bit more interest and they old layouts were not really updated over time as things have evolved.

Passive% sounds good to me. We can also add things like the shire/yondershire mail deeds to it as well.

I think Zone% would be a better name. That way we can add zones and regions. I imagine that anyone interested in running a shire% could potentially be interested in an angmar%, moria%, or even Eriador% (the Deeds of Eriador deed)
Additionally, I saw that Burz made a request for a 1-50 category in another post. In my opinion, we could just scrap the "Extended Edition" category for now and replace it with a Level% category. Put the 1-10, 1-50, 1-150, etc. categories into it. As for the Epic Quests.....
I propose a new category, Epic%. Sub-categories would include things like Volume 1-5, SOA Books 1-3, BtS Books 1-3, and a separate category for each volume, Black Book, Legacy of Durin, and eventually Song of Waves and Wind
Reorganization is completed I believe. The only other thing I would like to eventually do is break out the Intro% category to include not just Race, but also Class as a variable. This is on the backburner for now though, I can always go back and re-categorize runs.
IDK how long this could take or how complicated, but I think we should get rid of the f2p/vip subcategories for the passive% category. What account you have doesnt matter for the chicken play or your run speed while holding a pie.
For the pie runner, just require only 62% mounts and no swift travel.
Good question, I migrated the FTP/VIP variable to global. I'll have to look if we are able to exclude a category from that or what our options would be. It would be a pain to manage that variable set as separate variables for every category individually.
Were Passive% runs accidentally deleted when the restructuring happened? Don't see the Minas Tirith% runs anymore, can you somehow recover them or should we resubmit the runs?
Go ahead and resubmit them. When I did the migration I didn't see any runs attached to that category and we currently have no runs with an orphaned category, so not sure what to make of that. No runs were deleted.
Oh i found the direct link to the run and that still works, says the category is archived though: https://www.speedrun.com/the_lord_of_the_rings_online/runs/yjed4wdm
I was able to update the category on my run to the correct one, but not sure if you could move other runs from the archived category too to keep the history? There was at least one other run in Minas Tirith%
