Sure, but I guess the problem would be solved by FPS limiting the original graphics plugin too. However, if you wish to enhance your graphics in the game it's completely fine. The only difference is the graphical aspect of the game as far as I can tell. I never noticed the speed ups personally while running, but maybe runs different on different hardware so maybe a good point to limit FPS to 60. :)
