The Final Fantasy Legend speedrun, single segment (no saving/resetting), no major-skip glitches used
System: Gameboy Player on Gamecube, starting from a hard reset
Recorded on: 16 April 2011
There are no major-skip glitches used in this run. The only glitch used is the presumably-inverted inequality check on the SAW ability, which can kill powerful foes (including the final boss) in one hit -- presumably it was intended to kill weak foes in a single hit.
PRNG manipulation is used throughout the run. The PRNG manipulation relies on the game's initial state being initialized on the Gameboy Player for Gamecube. Every step and every action in battle was pre-planned for the entire run -- I had Powerpoint slides with my route on a computer beside me, and I was hitting the spacebar every few minutes to advance the slides (my memory is not nearly good enough to have memorized every action in every battle).
The timing method is slightly dated: it begins when the main character appears inside Base Town, and ends when the "CREATOR went to pieces" message begins to appear.
