I decided to make a tutorial for the Any% because 1) I wanted to document the new route that is used for that category and 2) I struggled with getting the Konami Code to work for the longest time so hopefully this will help others that might struggle with it.

Timing First off, timing starts after the "Ultra Rare" logo fades away on the first frame that you see the tip of the spaceship enter from the left. Timing stops on the first frame the screen goes black after beating the last level.

Konami Code Entry The second you see the spaceship come onto the screen, you can start entering the Konami Code which will unlock all the levels in the game. The Konami Code is as follows where the directions are inputted using the D-Pad and not the analog stick (this was the mistake I made at first that drove me crazy so don't make the same mistake I did!): Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A If all goes well, you will hear a sound indicating that the Konami Code was entered correctly and all levels will be unlocked.

Old Route Now the old route was to just spam A after typing the Konami Code to hit "Continue" and "Single Player" upon reaching the menu which will place you on the last level of the game. Then you would beat the last level and that would be the end. You can get around a 40 second time if you do this route optimally; however, this is no longer the fastest route. New Route The new route makes use of the Warp Pad Glitch found by ShyGuyGH. You can check out this video he made which explains how to use the glitch to skip the first two levels of the game, but we are going to use it to skip the last level. What you do is upon entering the Konami Code, you will go to level select and enter the 5th level, "Big Switch". From there you will get the astronaut to the warp pad by going through the tunnel and jumping around the left side of the wall to get to the end platform. Once on the warp pad with the astronaut, you will hit "Save and Quit". The game will take you back to the main menu, but the warp pad glitch will now be activated so we can just spam A to select "Continue" and "Single Player" on the main menu as soon as possible. After doing this you will be put into the final level of the game, but because of the warp pad glitch the level will immediately end and the credits will play after a few seconds. This route saves a few seconds over the old route and is the route used by the current world record. You can watch an example of this route from the current world record below:
