General Tips: Read the Game Rules and Category Rules before doing a run, if you want to submit it to the leaderboards. Play on the Standard Difficulty, with no memory card (if possible). Use File 3 – it's actually ~0.5s faster than files 1 and 2! Check the Individual Level videos and the full game runs (not just the world record) to better understand and visualize the route, as well as decide if you want to do certain difficult tricks. You have to mash "A" four times to stop the sign destruction slowdown. Any more will cause Taz to jump, which may be undesirable.

Notes: SW = Sandwich It is hard to write a guide for 100%s: it would be unreasonable to mention every single object you should destroy since some levels require over 250 objects for the destruction bonus (not to mention that Taz's spin is somewhat erratic and you bounce in different directions after destroying objects). I suggest checking the IL videos and practice a route you're comfortable with A LOT! This route will not mention the Hint Video Exploit (HVE) glitch, which can save you time on many signs (as much as 2 minutes, in total). If you want to incorporate this glitch into your runs, take a look at the HVE guide.

Elephant Pong

A lot of RNG. Sometimes Gossamer will scare the elephant to the left and move to the right (or vice-versa), so scare it to the other corner to score. A recently-found tactic involves scaring the elephant in a certain way so that it hits a wall just before Gossamer scares it; doing this will make the elephant bump off the wall on that same spot and end up on the other side of the field while Gossamer stays near the wall (I believe this is because Gossamer will usually go in the direction he scares the elephant). After that, scare the elephant in a straight line (or even further away from Gossamer) to score. You can see this strategy in practice in the video below:

Samsonian Museum (enter level by spinning up the wall to the right of the stairs)

  • revolving Doors on the right, turn right, swallow sign, spinpad

Disco Volcano

The Hindenbird

1st Phase is easy, have good timing (spit slightly before he faces you). Grab a box at the end of this phase. 2nd Phase is hard, have good accuracy. You can double hit, triple hit sometimes. Grab a box and Charge spin at the end of this phase. 3rd Phase is random. You can hit the first 2 in alternate order, because if you're fast enough you can hit them in 2-1-3-4 instead of 1-2-3-4 (1 being the switch that stays activated the longest, 4 the shortest).

Time ends when the screen goes dark.
