Hey,
Why is the turret killing GLaDOS considered a glitch? (for a glitchless run) Legit question because the turrets shoots onto me, hits glados, and she drops all her cores. I'm not doing anything to make it glitch. It's legit use of Portals, right?
Thanks in advance for the answer.
(edit: it says "Turret killed Glados" under Glitches, but in a speedrun guide it says: "PortalA near the beginning of the hallway then stand before the energy field until the turret shoots off her cores." That contradicts, right?)
'Glitchless' category is very very VEEEEERY arbitrary. What was considered a glitch a while ago isn't what is considered a glitch now. If you want to clear your mind, rename "Glitchless" into "Some tricks are banned" as a category name in your head, because 'glitches' is too vague.
A guide saying that shooting glados with turrets from the hallway is wrong, because it's illegal.
I understand... man, I had 19:45 on what I thought was Glitchless, but actually is inbounds then. That sucks :(. Oh well, I understand. Thank you for your explaination.
It was recently discovered that it is possible to set your mouse sensitivity to a value so high that the game considers it infinite, leading to several new glitchy techniques being discovered.
The rules have now been amended to ban these new techniques in both Inbounds No SLA Legacy and Glitchless.
