When I try to install the steam downpatch by extracting all files into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Superliminal and replace all files, after launching it again it shows me the logo with a red exclamation mark in the top-right corner then closes meaning I have to reinstall it. How could I fix this? I'm definitely using the steam version and not the egs version. Any help appreciated!
The game has been updated recently, so the downpatch may not work anymore. I haven't tested it myself yet.
For now, here's a possible workaround:
- Right-click your game and go to properties
- Go to betas, and install the steam launch version
- Once done, overwrite the files with the downpatch
I haven't done it yet, but a quick question. If I do this, will I be able to access the dream constructor? If not, how could I?
If you downpatch the game, you won't have the dream constructor anymore. You can always keep the latest update in a separate folder, so that you can quickly launch whichever version you want, without having to download the whole game again.
