start timing runs upon selecting the first tutorial ted option?

i feel like runs should start upon selecting the first tutorial ted option, because load time can vary between like 7 and 15 seconds

I can see your point, however I wonder how you come up with a span of 7 to 15 secs. I am currently looking at the leaderboard and Happy seems to have the fastest machine, his screen is fully loaded at ~8 seconds while the longest loading time is not even 11 seconds on Biglaw's machine. Your run also has a loading time of less than 10 seconds and if there is nothing wrong with your system you should get the same loading time consistently.

I am also thinking of console games as a comparision where the fastest system always wins (different Ps2 versions for example) and this is in runs where it comes down to several minutes of loading time difference, while we are speaking of 3 seconds at most here. Same for PC games if they are not ranked by "time without loads". I don't really want to make any changes when they are not necassarily needed.

It is also a bit complicated because we are already "in the game" when we can make the choice at Tutorial Ted. I have no clue how the RNG of the game works, but it might be affected by how long you wait until you confirm the Tutorial Ted text box. While it should be consistent from skipping the story on. (Again, this is just an assumption, I don't know how the RNG seed advances in this game, even though I would love to find out.)

Just because this is my opinion, it is not set in stone though. Feel free to discuss. In the end I might agree that your proposed timing method makes more sense. I would also like to hear more opinions about this, so anyone who is reading this, please state your opinion, regardless if you ran the game already or not.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but I would like to discuss and think about it first before taking a decision too quickly. In any case, thank you for bringing this up, antech!

yeah for me it normally averages between a 7-10 second load time, i randomly got a 15 second load time once which is why i included it. the ~3 second difference honestly doesn't matter that much but if marriage% manages to get low enough to where those 3 seconds do matter, i think it should get implemented. you are right however about mouse positioning during load times, but i don't think it's that important to the run
