SO2 Rena Any%

• Start of Game: Choose Sound, Rena, Full Active
• Grab Res Bottle in right-most chest, Text speed to 1, Formation to Free-for-All, Go to Shingo Forest, head into second room, Claude AI beats Waste of Time Ape
• After cutscene, head home. Before getting there, check Claude's Talents, make sure he doesn't know too many.
• Go to Newlywed's House (above church, left screen in Arlia), talk to the man
• Talk to Claude below, head back to Rena's house
• Talk to Mayor, then head to Rena's house
• Next day, to Shingo Forest, head to the far side, scene with Claude, leave, scene where she gets kidnapped by Alen
• Try to leave, hidden passage, head through. You'll get one encounter since Rena can't do Encounter Glitch (no fighters for KM swapping). Just run from it.
• Head to Altar, Claude rescues you, bash Alen-tax
• Mash through cutscenes, head to Rena's house, try to go upstairs, leave, try to go to the Forest, then head back and trigger scene with Claude on the bridge.
• Mash more cutscenes, swap Claude & Rena's position, put Air Slash on R1 and quickly leave menu to execute KM / Encounter Glitch
• head to Cross (another KM glitch en route), go to Inn, mash text, go to castle, talk to guy on left, then guy on right and green-haired guy in corner. Then Audience w/ King
• Ask King Cross all three questions, go through scenes, leave castle, Celine scene, mash more cutscenes.
• Head to left screen, skill shop, buy all three skill packs
• go to Cross Cave (need 2 KM glitches on world map) (see a video for the route), leave, reject Celine (Note: Gearless Robot says getting Celine is faster in Rena route. Need to check) -Head to Clik. One KM glitch is sufficient
• Talk to Captain, head to main area & get robbed by Ketil, head to Port, talk to girl, head to first area, talk to Ketil, head back toward port, then talk to kids, talk to captain, head to main area, earthquake. Head up the stairs, see the tsunami, talk to Ketil, talk to Captain, leave for Mars Village (1 KM glitch).
• Head to Mars, go to Elder's House, go to Inn & talk to Dias, talk to Claude & Celine, go back to Dias, mash more text, unequip Dias's Shield, Greaves, & Helmet, mud boots on Rena, enter forest
• Spam Air Slash at range on Bandits, head to back part of dungeon, fight solo bandit.
• Azamgil & Shielder x4 fight: Spam Air Slash. Once most of them are gone, Resurrect Bottle on Rena if needed so she gets some extra EXP
• Cutscenes, leave area, cutscenes with Claude & Celine, leave Forest, cutscenes with Eglas, Celine, Village Elder, leave Celine's house when you can and leave the village, then more cutscenes, get Ancient Writings
• Equip Claude with the aforementioned armor, swap Claude & Rena back
• Boat from Herlie to Hilton. Get Knowledge 2, Sensibility 2, Technique 2 (money less tight here than in Claude story)
• Go to Lacour, Claude registers for Tournament, head to Knockout shop (with the Long Edge), Pellen Nor for Mandrake x10, Atk, Vial x20, Cure Paralysis x5, sell all stuff except Res. Bottle including the Mind Ring (for 4k!), Skill Shop for Sensibility 3, Combat 1, Combat 2.
• Go to Inn, Rena leaves, go to Gamgee's forge, cutscene with the girl, head to Tavern, talk to two lower fighting guys in blue, try to leave to be stopped by Dias. After scenes, back to Inn
• Head to Tournament Arena, Claude leaves to register, follow Dias
• Allocate Dias's SP: max Perseverance, Playfulness, and combat skills. Note that Dias gets 200 SP now and will rejoin with 200 SP at the Front Lines. Any skills you allocate now will still be learned, but don't put points into stat-boosting skills such as Kitchen Knife. His stats will reset to their defaults and you'll lose the benefit of those skills! Combat skills are maintained!
• Head to Gamgee's Forge, then to Tavern. Dias easily disposes of the thugs.
• Go to tournament hall, to back of tournament arena with Claude, Dias AI wins round.
• Go to other side of Arena, talk to Gamgee, head back to the back, hit the middle of the middle stairs
• Claude AI vs. DK. Pray. If you lose, you get a consolation match opportunity against the Sword Knight Claude fights in round 1 in his story. If the AI blows that (at half health), RIP run.
• Leave room on right, head right back in and hit the same trigger for Dias 2nd match, then Claude wins automatically and Dias beats Shrek in Round 3.
• After Cutscenes, leave & reenter as before, finals, Claude takes dirt nap, cutscenes, get second place prize
• Get the Sharp Edge From Gamgee; This remains the most important part of the run.
• On World Map, KM glitch with Claude, go to Linga
• Cutscene with Precis, cutscene at Keith's House, cutscene at Bowman's, buy Knowledge 3, Technique 3, head to Sanctuary of Linga, get Might Chain, then get Rainbow Diamond, Clarisage as in Claude Route.
• Go to Bowman's, then Keith's, speak with Professor, back room of Bowman's, recruit him.
• Go to Co-Op, max Bowman's perseverence, learn Familiar (Whistling + Animal Training 1)learn Bowman's Love of Animals Talent, max playfulness with Bowman, points into Kitchen Knife 4, Sci. Ability 5, remaining points into Functionality, Feint, Mental Training. Get Bandit's Gloves as well.
• If Claude needs to learn Sense of Design at this time, get Perseverance 3, Sketching 1, Esthetic 1 and do so with Magic Clay
• No need to get a better book for Leon in Rena Route (F for respects)
• Return to Lacour, cutscenes, Leon temporarily joins. Go to Hilton, Musical Instrument & Musical Notation 1 (if needed), then Craft 1, Esthetic Sense 1 (if needed), Mineralogy 1, Metalwork & Musical Talent to learn needed talents. Max Perseverence, then Mineralogy 8, Craft 7, Esthetic Sense 3, Rainbow Diamond + Might Chain on Claude after he knows Originality, Dexterity, Sense of Design, make Berserk Ring. Put 5 levels into each of Courage & Poker Face, 5 levels into each of Kitchen Knife, Sci. Ability, 4+ levels into Functionality, Metal Casting, allocate into Functionality, Sci. Ability, and combat talents as needed.
• Equip Berserk Ring onto Claude, max Blackberry, Blueberry, buy lots of Res. Bottles (15+), Swap to (Claude, Bowman, Leon, Rena), Leon's AI to 'Throw Body into Attack', head for Hoffmann Ruins
• At some point, while KM glitching, take Spirit Attack off Bowman.
• Harfainxes plz no trolling. This fight is arguably harder since Crawd is lower level but he has slightly better defense & evasion thanks to pilfering Dias's goods earlier. Rena should also have Cure Light, another boon.
• Leave Ruins as you came, back to Lacour, King's Room, head to Front Line. (2 KM glitches here, make sure to put Head Splitter on Claude as it helps with Shin 1)
• Buy 4 Green Beryls to help with Shin 1, Res. Bottles if needed (up to 20), upstairs to Commander's office. Go downstairs, talk to Dias, recruit him (first option, so you can mash this). Head to Cannon, talk to Claude
• Equip Beryls, talk to 3 NPC's, head upstairs. Survive Shin for 1 minute. Next day, Commander's Office, then Hospital, anime monster cutscene / restroom break
• Beat Stone Statues, try to kill off characters with Mandrakes. Die to Shin 2.
• Go to Eluria Colony, Claude eventually joins (but not Leon, F). Talk to Elder, then go to weapons cache next door. Get Veil Piercer, try to leave, get ID card, head to Eluria Tower.
• Switch Claude & Rena's position, KM glitch to remove skills other than Air Slash on Dias, make sure Head Splitter still on Claude
• Eluria Tower - get Meteor Ring & Stone Check on 1st Floor, Crestier Guard & Musical Software in alcove on second
• APOCA, get Card Key, go to beam-up spot. Sorry, no Battle Suit chances here.
• Berserk Ring, Might Chain, Sharp Edge on Dias, control him for this fight, Crestier Guard on Claude, then in the Shin 3 fight, spam the ever-loving Daylight out of Air Slash.
• Berle 1; head to Top Left corner, run into OoB, wait out a minute. Disc 2:
• Lots of cutscenes to start off. There's an extra cutscene with Narl at the end of it not found in Claude's story where Rena and Narl discuss that Rena is definitely Nedian.
• North City: Get Lezard Flask, Violin, max out on Atk, Vials. Learn Music Talent 5 with Claude, more points in Customize if possible, then with Rena get Perseverance 10 / Mineralogy 9 / Sci Ability 7 / Fairyology 5 to get Alchemy 7, make 2 Rainbow Diamonds, then 2 Mithril
• You can either spam Air Slash with Dias to defeat Synard or craft E-Sphere now. If you craft E-Sphere now, put Berserk Ring, Might Chain on Claude. Otherwise leave them on Dias for Synard.
• Craft E-Sphere after Noel's cutscene outside Cave of Red Crystal if you didn't do so earlier. Also, Berserk Ring & Might Chain on Claude if you didn't do so earlier.
• Arcmene = trolly, try to have Dias spamming Air Slash and Claude's E-Sphere slashes.
• Increase Claude's Pickpocket Level as high as possible, to Fun City, safety save, save scum for Bunny Shoes
• Head to Central City, talk to Narl, get Rune Codes, head to Field of Power on mountain south of Giveaway. Power Guardian, kill off Bowman & Dias so Claude gets more levels. If you get L38 for Ripper Blast, head to Intelligence, otherwise, Love for levels.
• Guard System 245: Fairy Glass Claude (in chest after the sixth switch), spam Ripper Blast on Claude to take out the hand, Spam Shooting Stars to take out bottommost box (absorbs the Stars). Slash the other three down.
• Lover - Attack Vial, slash 'em
• Courage Guardian: Slash 'em.
• Head to Narl, head to Fienal, die to Marsilio 1 in the usual manner
• Get better weapons for Bowman, Dias in Armlock, buy Combat 3 skill pack, Best Equipment on Dias, Bowman, turn on Rena's Equipment Wizard, max her Motormouth, put the guys' points into Functionality, Kitchen Knife, Sci. Ability, Feint, and Parry
• Head to Lab, view scene, Rena goes to the Tree in 'front' of the teleporter, then after those scenes, you'll leave the lab, head to Dr. Mirage's house, get key to Mihne Cave.
• Save before Bark, Meteor Ring on Claude, Might Chain over to Dias, slash Bark, Attack Vial, and hope for no Lost Patience.
• Back to Mirage, then to Fun City. Choose 'Go See Narl', then mash through.
• Marsilio - stunlock him, Attack Vial, RIP
• Shigeo, more of the same, but he's fast, so it's harder.
• Berle - Yawn.
• Three Wise Men - Attack Vial & Growth Claude. Go for Jibril first, hope that the other two keep the big guy busy. Take out the chump, then go after the big guy.
• Before B&B-h; Reverse Doll, Might Chain on Dias, Reverse Doll, Protection Ring on Rena, Reverse Doll, Stone Check on Bowman, order is 'Claude, Bowman, Dias, Rena', Party Leader is Dias
• Beavis & Butt-head: Start with control of Dias, Air Slash Decus, Attack Vial Claude, Growth Claude, attack Decus & Stunlock him to death.
• Floor 6: Once you enter, go right and then go up.
• Hit the middle switch and go left.
• Follow the path and hit the green and yellow switches.
• Go back to the three switches and hit the left switch.
• Go up and to the left and hit the right switch.
• Go left and hit the purple switch.
• Hit the left switch and go right.
• Hit the middle switch and go right, then down and hit the red switch.
• Go back to where you pressed the middle switch and hit the left switch.
• Go up, left, and up and hit the middle switch.
• Go to the next floor.
• Turn off Fairy Heal, replace Rena's Protection Ring,
• Cyril: Equip a Protection Ring to Rena before the fight if her old one broke against Vesper and Decus. He's immune to stars, but he's no threat. Try to get behind him and just keep hitting him until he dies. Attack vial Claude. Wind of Destruction is the only thing you need to worry about, and he’ll only do it once or twice, and the Green Beryls should help.
• Indy: Head Splitter to him with Claude, Dias Spams Air Slash, Bowman spams pills, Rena Growth & Attack Vial Claude, hope you avoid Time of Truth. Thankfully, Phase 2 of Limited Indy is still a lot slower than Unlimited Indy!
