To document some of our advanced strats/tricks I made this video. Timestamps for the different topics are below.

#General star-system movement

• getting in Zoom level -> especially Alpha Pavonis 7 () If you aim for moons -> align entry point to moon position ()
• landing - picking up stuff

• remember item locations -> time loss due to autoscan: 14 frames clicking through autoscan vs 5 frames down & dispatch ()
• special Pluto/Alpha Pavonis 7 ()
• special Mercury: why we pick up common resources at Mercury (saving time at starbase) ()

• getting out / escape from enemies () which direction is the closest exit? -> obvious for e.g. Alpha Pavonis 7 remember how many ships were outside the planet & positions #Hyperspace travel
• learn to not use the autopilot () It costs more time to open menu and type than to move manually (not verified for every situation)
• learn to orient yourself -> learn how the important star systems' surroundings look like
• alien ships have different movespeed -> e.g. you can distinguish Utwig from Slylandro ()
• actual movement speed x/y () horizontal speed 4.8, vertical speed 4 NE is not equal 45° but 50.2° "only" important when you want to calculate distances #Quasispace travel
• coming from Arilou home world () after Arilou hw -> enter closest portal -> summon portal -> enter "Pkunk-portal" saves about 3-4s for the cost of 10 fuel
• summoning portals () time to enter portal after summoning is dependent on direction you're facing: N -> 62 frames, NNW -> 63 frames, S -> 72 frames, NNE -> 83 frames taking into account exiting star systems -> NNW is the safe play imo, cause if you spam Shift (enter menu) you can stop shortly before the rotation ends (1-2 positions before the one you exited the system with -> e.g. NNW going outside -> spin -> stoping on N)
