A few tips to help get you started with most categories:
-
Go into Options and set your graphics to Low, turn off Doom Raider cutscenes. Once you're in a stage, you can also turn on triple speed (unlocked after clearing 2-6 on Normal) to make the game faster & auto-battle.
-
For Adventures, Easy, you want a team of approximately Level 50 Skylanders. You may need to power-up their skills, apply Ethers, etc. You can get messed up pretty badly by the Doom Raiders if you're not geared up.
-
One of them should have a powerful AoE skill (I used Eruptor's) to instantly defeat all enemies early on. If you can get two, it's even better. As for the rest, generally anything with lots of damage is good. Any attack that also has the ability to "knockdown" enemies is extremely helpful.

You should be familiar with most Doom Raider battles before you start running. Just to get a general idea of what can happen (eg. Golden Queen can freeze a Skylander for a couple of turns). The last three Doom Raiders are the most important to keep track of. To keep it short: Wolfgang can spawn speakers that heal him, Nightshade spawns two clones that attack every turn, Luminous spawns exploding crystals that explode if not defeated in time and has an invincible shield.

Hope you get lucky on Nightshade. In all seriousness, I don't have much of a strategy other than going for the shadow clones as soon as they spawn. I like to try to save the AoE attack on them, but it doesn't always instantly defeat them, or I'm sometimes forced into using it before they actually spawn. Sometimes this fight just feels like luck, even though I'm at Level 50. If you aren't feeling confident in this fight, perhaps consider leveling up even more. -
Luminous is a big step down in difficulty compared to Nightshade. The crystals can almost be ignored (although I'd destroy one or two, just to be safe). If Luminous has his shield up, THEN attack the crystals (preferably with your less powerful attacks).
