Analogue Super NT allowed?

Hi I was just wondering if the Analogue Super NT is allowed for submitting runs... And if so would that fell into console or emulator category? keep in mind that the console is not a software emulator but an FPGA representation of the snes...

Thanks

It would be allowed but i feel like the mods will say it's an emulation console. Since it's an FPGA console, i wouldn't say it is an emulator, im not a mod tho.

Im pretty sure you can even turn off and on the original snes lag.

Argentina

yeah you can either run it at a steady 60fps (which is slower than the original snes, which is about 60.08 fps) and lose about a second every 10 minutes or you can select to run it at the exact same snes speed but at a cost of a screen tear every 10 seconds (single buffer) or at the cost of a frame drop every 10 seconds (full buffer... this also adds "no more than" a frame of input lag)

anyway, I found this answer on the Zelda: ALTTP forum https://www.speedrun.com/alttp/thread/fu8mj/1#s9uiz so i'll go with that.

@Xein64 If you are speculating, it is better to state that. Saying "It would be allowed" sounds like you're speaking out of turn.

Most SNES communities seem like they are okay with it provided that you use the correct settings in regards to framerate. I echo @Screevo 's comments about being certain that you self-declare that you are using the Super NT.
