do you need a capture card, or can you use a camera?
I want to know if you can use a camera to record 1:20 or better for any%. I don't have enough money for a capture card at the moment

Just don't have it freezing every 2 seconds for long stretches of time and you're fine

You can probably find a good deal on an Elgato. Otherwise, you can get a GV-USB2 with an AV to HDMI converter, an EasyCap or a Dazzle-the last 3 guaranteed being under $100. Only thing is the last 2 aren't the most durable and the quality will be garbage.
Any run that has a time above 1:20:00 like 1:20:50 doesn’t need video proof. Only runs like 1:19:50 and under need video proof.
