New Timing For 1-1 as Fire Mario

I think i remember asking this in Discord a year ago or so but i don't remember getting an answer and it crossed my mind again so I'll ask here:

What do people think of changing the time the run ends to when Mario dissappears behind the castle? This is before framerules can affect timing, but would allow for people to go for flagpole glitch in the run, and also allow for even more variabilty with a slower consistent setup vs just going for mavpole.

I think it would be a cool way to bring some fresh life to the category, what do people think?

Any particular reason why? It wouldn't change anyone's place on the leaderboard, it just gives the opportunity for times to go down all the more.

I think it could quite frankly easily change the leaderboard, if someone got a decent time + fpg it could easily take WR... Also having to find setups for fpg would be stupid especially if you can't use practice roms

11x Categories - New Timing Method

Hey Folks!

Just wanted to announce a new change to timing methods for both 11x categories. The new timing standards are as follows:

  • Timing starts from power-on/reset (or game select if you're using one of the combo cartridges).
  • Timing ends on grabbing the axe on the 11th run.
