New Emulator and Switch Rules as of August 28th, 2023.

Hey everyone, we got some big rule changes today!

As of today, the only allowed emulators are mGBA and Bizhawk using the mGBA core. VBA has been banned due to inconsistencies. If you previously ran with VBA your runs are grandfathered in but we kindly ask you to switch to other options. If there are other emulators that run accurately please let us know and we can discuss about allowing more. These are just the ones we know run in a way that's close to an original GBA. It is also now recommended to use a real GBA bios inside mGBA or Bizhawk. These are the new rules:

Emulator Rules: mGBA and BizHawk with the mGBA Core are the only emulators allowed and must be set to original refresh rate (native 59.7275hz). Using a real GBA BIOS is recommended for a more accurate experience.

You may not use emulator specific features like cheat codes, save states, fast forward and turbo buttons. Do not reset using a save state.

Showing the full emulator window is recommended to ensure these features were not used.

Switch NSO: Due to Switch Online and DS running at different refresh rates we've decided to convert these times for a more fair playing field. Other platforms don't need converting as far as we're aware.

We're making these changes to keep things fair but we also want to keep this game as accessible as we can. If there are any concerns don't hesitate to reach out. Happy running!
