So in this pc port you have ability to quit level while getting a star to skip animation, which saves a tone of time throughout the run. Is it possible to do separate leaderboard where this trick is banned or I should just live with the fact that runners get timesave from nowhere?

You mean when getting a star after exiting out the level?

i mean exiting the level during star grab animation. also i noticed that pause before getting into a painting and unpausing saves a bit of time, which unfair imo. i just wish that runs on this pc port would be as close to vanilla as possible, at least on separate leaderboard.

So, You want to separate category of "No Pausing Cheese" huh?

i guess banning pausing is too much but having something like "No Exit Course" would be cool

I think fast entering painting and quitting in star animation is the charm of speedrunning the pc port. It also makes the run faster.
