How do you tell if a run is on switch or wii by watching the video?

I'm assuming that the mods have had problems with people submitting wii runs here instead of on the original page. Are there any key things you look for to tell which version of the game was used?

(I'm aware that various icons in text boxes are different, eg joycon/procon images and right joysticks instead of wii remotes and D-pads, but are there any sprites etc that you know to look different enough to tell the games apart?)

There are a few differences to look out for. If they use the recenter button. It's pretty clear when they do. Most top runners do camera cancels, on Wii it shows D-pad, on Switch it shows Right stick If they are using Korean, it's switch. UI graphics look very different between versions.

If you still have any trouble. DM me, I could figure it out

Yeah thanks. I basically answered my question by comparing the toad sprites between the two games but thanks. (I completely forgot that the switch has many more languages than the wii)

Possibly you have found that they are very similar in terms of graphics because maybe they play the Wii version but on Wii U (Since Wii U allowed to see and play Wii games in HD). And that the HD seen in SMG in Wii U confuse you since it could be the same graphics as in SMG in SM3DAS. Apart from changing buttons to adapt to Switch controls.

for super mario galaxy : the back button arrow with selecting a star is flipped, buttons A and B are very different

@Yoshiabel Wii games have the same resolution when played on the WiiU. The only way to tell the difference in-game for Wii and WiiU is loads
