**Field of View**

This will disable vsync which may improve mouse lag. However you [big]**must**[/big] cap your framerate at 60 using Dxtory or other software. Note that this is required when playing on a 144hz monitor.

**Don't Pause on Alt-Tab**

This will make the game not pause when it loses focus or you alt-tab.

Any% No Horse Tilts Route

Route is basically the same but order of doing things is little bit different. 

Helgen:

Whiterun:
- ask to help around the forge
- glitch Alvor only once, use faster route to the left

Embassy + Riften: 
- same as before

Karthspire:
- get FT point
- travel to Markarth Stables
- take carriage to Winterhold

Mzark:
- vendor glitch Ri'saad. If he is not here, use a wait but you can't use wait before horse steal. His position is a RNG depended. He can stand next to the gate or he can be in front of his tent.
- grab Elder Scroll and travel to Sky Haven Temple

Wall:

- travel to Riften

Marriage:
- setup marriage with Marcurio
- travel to Whiterun Stables

Horse 1:

Q: What difficulty is this on?
A: Easy because it's the fastest. Harder difficulties just make the run longer and more boring.
 
Q: What level are you?
A: 1, you stay at level one for the entire run because level scaling makes Alduin beatable at this level.
 
Q: How are you moving so fast without sprinting?
A: There is a glitch where if you start a sprint, quicksave, then end the sprint and quickload at the same time you keep the speed of the sprint without using any stamina.
 
Q: How do you jump so far?
A: The glitch listed above allows this. You move at the speed of sprinting while still being able to jump.

Q: What was with all that saving and loading after Helgen?
A: This is called a load warp. You can pause the game right at the same time you enter a load zone. Then, if you quit to the main menu and load up a different save, the game will load that character and warp them through the load zone as if you just walked into it. This lets us make a save at the back of Helgen, then go inside and get our hands unbound, then just warp straight out of it instead of running all the way through. We also use it after getting Esbern.

Q: Why is the game stuttering every time you go through a load?
A: Normally after a load the game has a second long fade in where you don't have control. If you quicksave and quickload during this fade in you instantly skip it. Since quicksaves and quickloads are counted out as per our timing rules, this is faster.

Q: What did you just do with that vendor?
A: If you click and drag your mouse from your inventory to a vendor's, you stay in sell mode while having their inventory open. This lets you sell their own inventory to them, taking all their gold for free.

Q: WHAT HOW DID YOU GET OFF A HORSE AND SUDDENLY YOU'RE GOING A MILLION MILES PER HOUR???
A: If you tilt your horse to a 90+ degree angle and get off, for some strange reason, the game gives you ridiculous amounts of speed. You can load a save during the dismount animation to stop gaining speed and be able to somewhat control yourself. The save must be 3rd person as you instantly stop in 1st person.

Q: How did you just go through the wall at the Embassy?
A: Many walls in this game can be clipped through by running into them while holding certain items in front of you. Buckets, bowls, and platters work best.

Q: Why did you take from the chest at the Embassy?
A: Normally you can't enter the embassy until much later in the game. Inside the chest is a plot item you're supposed to get then. If you get it, it will advance straight to the Cornered Rat quest, skipping a good portion of the main quest.

Q: Why did you go in and out of the door multiple times in Riverwood?
A: One method of skipping diagloue is to leave and re-enter an area. We do this multiple times in Riverwood to skip a lengthy conversation between Esbern and Delphine.

Q: Did you just get married???
A: No. The main quest usually has an unskippable 4.5min long cutscene where you learn Dragonrend. It turns out whenever you fail to attend your marriage, the game gives you back control (since there's usually a cutscene). If you combine that with a glitch that lets you read the Elder Scroll anywhere to start the cutscene, you can warp into the cutscene during your marriage ceremony, fail it, regain control, and do things to make it significantly faster.

Q: Why are you travelling to weird places during the cutscene?
A: This skips dialogue during the cutscene, manipulates the time of day ingame to something favourable for later events, and lets us discover fast travel points for later use.

Q: How are you continually doing power attacks without using stamina?
A: While dual wielding weapons, if you start a power attack with both and immediately hit the attack buttons again once the animation starts, it'll do the power attack without using stamina. 

Q: What's with all the stream lag during council?
A: Another method of skipping dialogue is to quicksave and quickload, which will skip ahead to the next line of dialogue. You can do that repeatedly in council to make it significantly faster.

Q: Are you actually flying on a bucket?
A: Yes. That bucket is a "heavy" object and pushes you back if you pull it towards yourself. When standing inside the bucket, you pull it upwards and it pushes you further upwards, allowing you to fly. It's basic physics.

A: Seriously? This run has so much incredibly broken stuff and a basic clip is what gets you going?

Glitches etc. you should know

The following are things you should be aware of when running this game. They're all little things experienced runners don't think about but new runners get tripped up by a lot.

[big]**Text Glitch**[/big]
This glitch allows you to skip through dialogue much faster than normal. Unfortunately it only appears at random, usually after the game's been open for 3+ hours. Because of this, runs with the text glitch are not allowed on the leaderboard. If you can find a consistent (and convenient) way to reproduce this glitch for everyone, we can allow it.

[big]**Misc Dialogue / Menu Glitches**[/big]
There are a few glitches that appear with the dialogue and menus in this game:

* If you scroll with your mouse wheel past the bottom option, it will roll around and actually select the top option while still highlighting the bottom one. You can choose the correct option by clicking on the one you want rather than using the keyboard. This happens going past the top too.
* The center option is not always the currently selected option. The one that is highlighted white is the current selection. This always happens during Arngeir's dialogue after the first horse climb.
* After reading a book from your inventory (e.g. misclicking when trying to read the Elder Scroll) you can no long use the mouse. You either much use the keyboard to select the correct item, or close and reopen the menu.


[big]**UI Glitch**[/big]
At random your game will stop showing quest updates and new location discovered notifications. Restarting your game will fix it.

[big]**Mzark Buttons**[/big]
The button puzzle to get the Elder Scroll is very easy to glitch. If you spam use when placing the lexicon, it will bug out and seem to both have the lexicon placed and not. You'll have to remove and replace it again to fix it. Additionally, spamming use on the 4th hit of the 1st button will cause the 2nd button to open and immediately close. You'll have to play around with the other buttons to reopen the 2nd one.

[big]**Angry Guards**[/big]
Guards can refuse to accept your surrender and simply try to kill you instead. This happens most with the Riften and especially Windhelm guards. I suggest quicksaving before doing a guard warp. Restarting the game after this happens may also help. Guards can also decide to ignore you completely, in which case just attack them again.

[big]**Carriage Wrong Warp**[/big]
If you choose the wrong option when using the carriage, you may be taken to the wrong place even when going back into the menu and selecting the correct place. Go back and select the correct place twice to go to the correct place 100% of the time.

[big]**Markarth Carriage Glitch**[/big]
Sometimes this jerk doesn't want to be a carriage driver and he won't have the dialogue option to choose a destination. Choose a couple other options and the carriage option should appear.

[big]**Horse Camera Glitch**[/big]
Occasionally after travelling to Riverwood, your camera will jerk and your horse will move in the wrong direction. Tapping forwards once before moving will prevent this.

[big]**Stagger Glitch**[/big]
You can't shout while staggered. It's possible to get stuck in a staggered state when you get staggered while attacking for a short time. You should be able to fire all required shouts before getting staggered in Alduin 1.

[big]**Invincible Alduin**[/big]
If you load a save during the Alduin 1 fight, he may become invincible. Reload the save until he's vulnerable again. You shouldn't need a save for this fight, though.

[big]**Floating Paarthunax**[/big]
Paarty can land in the air after Alduin 1 when you need to talk to him. Fast travel to High Hrothgar and back to lose the least amount of time.

[big]**Arngeir Glitch**[/big]
When going to talk to Arngeir the 2nd time he can be completely unresponsive for about 15s. We don't know what causes it or how to fix it other than waiting. It seems to be rare for most players.

[big]**Door Glitch**[/big]
Sometimes doors aren't usable. Just quicksave / quickload to fix this.

Glitchless Main Quest - Bound Sword Route (Latest Route)

# Before beginning your speedruns

### Cap the frame rates.

Because of the Havok engine, you have to limit the FPS to 60 otherwise the game must be extremely glitchy with higher frame rates.

If you are Nvidia graphic card user, you can use its control panel to cap the frame rates.

Open NVIDIA control panel -> Manage 3D settings -> Click 'Program Settings' -> Click 'add' ->Choose 'Skyrim' -> Click 'Max Frame Rate' tab and limit to 60. Done!

Excuse me, but I don't know the option to cap the frame rates other than this way.

When you can't understand what you are doing while you speedrun or practice it, the participants may help you.

### Choose your race and make a start save file.

- You must choose **High Elf (Altmer)** to gain the fastest movement speed. Sex doesn't affect on a record, probably.
- Make a **hard save** right before getting the player's control. I recommend you open the console and type 'save start'.

# Preparation is done. Let's start your speedruns!

### **Helgen**

- Jump on Alduin's wing to skip the way to the entrance of Helgen Keep.
- Stagger Hadvar twice and jump to cancel the player's animation
- Grab wines on the shelf.
- Take restoration potions from the barrel (not necessary).
- Grab Novice Hood, Novice Robe, and 25 golds from the body in the cage. These will be sold later.
- Take 4 lockpicks from the knapsack.
- Grab 2 coin purses and wines on the way to the exit.

Wines are ESSENTIAL items, especially at the end of this category. They restore your stamina and save a huge lot of time.

### **Throat of the World**

You can wait after escaping from Helgen, which means you can restore stamina in only a second. So, running method is the repetition of sprinting and waiting from now on.

- Get fast-travel points (Anise's Cabin, Riverwood, and Pelagia Farm).
- Get Dragonsreach's fast-travel point by Guard Warp. (Guard Warp: You can get into a city wherever you are by committing a crime and surrender)
- Get more fast-travel points. (Whiterun Stables and Windhelm Stables)
- Steal a horse. You can stand next to the horse and ride on it without sneaking at this point unless the player's collision touches the horse.
- Fast travel back to Riverwood and climb to Throat of the World through High Hrothgar with the horse.

### **Bleak Falls Barrow**

It's possible to wait only for specific positions because of many enemies in dungeons. It's hard to write the exact positions, so I'd like you to check out them where you can wait watching records adapting the current route.

- Fast travel to Anise's Cabin and enter Bleak Falls Barrow
- Solve the puzzle. (Activate pillars: left -> mid -> right -> mid -> right)
- Burn skeevers and grab a Fire Ball scroll on the table.
- Burn Arvel and take the Golden Claw.
- Take another Fire Ball scroll from the chest near glowing mushrooms.
- Go down the cliff. If a draugr is nearby after that, burn it to make it possible to wait.
- Enter the sanctum.
- Do the shortcut.
- Unlock the door (Activate each ring twice) and equip Fire Ball scrolls.
- Learn Unrelenting Force (FUS) and defeat the boss. If it's too early to get away from the word wall, the boss doesn't appear.
- Get a weapon used by the boss, Dragonstone, and golds before exiting.

### **Mirmulnir**

- Get into Dragonsreach.
- Skip Balgruuf and Proventus talking. (After reporting the Helgen to the jarl, commit a crime and press the tab key right after paying the fine.)
- Give Farengar the stone and then sell possessions and buy Bound Sword.
- Go outside by Guard Warp
- Get the Western Watchtower's fast-travel point and the Winterhold's one through a carriage.
- Equip the weapon from Bleak Falls Barrow before fast traveling back to the watchtower.
- Quick save right after arriving. Then, repeat quick load until getting the flying course which lands soon.
- Defeat Mirmulnir and grab golds.

### **High Hrothgar**

- Get fast-travel points through carriages. (Markarth Stables -> Riften Stables -> Katla's Farm -> Morthal)
- Equip Unrelenting Force and get into High Hrothgar.
- Wait and shout to Arngeir.
- After skipping the Arngeir's dialogues, go outside and go inside to skip the word appearing.
- Learn the 2nd Unrelenting Force word (RO).
- Attack Greybeards to bring up one-handed weapon skill.
- Learn Whirlwind Sprint (WULD) as well as RO.

### **Ustengrav**

- Adjust the time on the way to Ustengrav in order not to see sleeping NPCs at the endgame. I always adjust it to 12 p.m.
- Summon Bound Sword and kill only the Conjurer near the entrance of Ustengrav.
- Run to the depths summoning Bound Sword to raise your conjuration skill. You can gain conjuration skill XP with bound weapons only in combat.
- Do the shortcut with Whirlwind Sprint
- Mash the wait key rapidly right after going into the depths otherwise you can't wait because the enemies chase you soon.
- Head for the end of this dungeon summoning Bound Sword. I think it's enough to grow your conjuration skill up to 24.
- Read the letter put on the altar and go to the exit.

### **Septimus**

- Fast travel to Riverwood and get into Sleeping Giant Inn.
- Talk to Delphine.
- Grab lots of wines.
- Fast travel to Winterhold and get into a jail.
- Jailbreak.
- Enter Septimus Signus's Outpost.
- Sneak behind Septimus and steal Attunement Sphere and Blank Lexicon.

### **Sahloknir**

- Fast travel to Windhelm Stables and head to the dragon's tomb near Kynesgrove.
- Search for an Amulet of Talos from bodies around the tomb. If you can get it there, the next segment will be about 10s faster than without the amulet.
- Defeat Sahloknir and grab golds.
- Talk to Delphine.

### **Thalmor Embassy**

- Fast travel to Katla's Farm and do Guard Warp.
- If you couldn't get an Amulet of Talos at Kynesgrove, attack someone before entering Winking Skeever. Don't sheathe until get another amulet from Rogvir's body. Give wines and golds to Malborn, but you need to leave 40 golds in your inventory because you have to pay the fine.
- If you could get an Amulet of Talos at Kynesgrove, you needn't attack anyone. Just give Malborn the amulet, wines, and golds.
- Fast travel back to Katla's Farm and talk to Delphine.
- Put on the amulet if you get it from Rogvir's body, and wear Party Clothes, and Party Boots before going to the embassy.
- Grab wines to hand one of them to Razelan.
- Head for the interrogation chamber grabbing wines and getting the items you gave Malborn and quest items.
- Read the book, Thalmor Dossier: Esbern, to spawn the soldiers who have Trap Door Key.
- Kill one of them with flames and take it. When you shoot flames, you should do a little at a time. You can gain more DPS with flames by doing so.
- Escape from the embassy.

### **Esbern**

- Gurad Warp into Riten.
- Do Ratway Skip setup. Attack guard nearby and sheathe right before entering the Ratway. You have the amulet in your inventory at this point if you gave the amulet to Malborn, so you have to equip it.
- Jump across the bridge with Whirlwind Sprint.
- When you run out of your stamina, level up to increase your stamina and take Armsman perk twice to make one-handed weapons do 40% more damage.
- Talk to Esbern.
- Pay the fine to the guards. If they come early and force you to quit talking, attack Esbern and surrender after completing to talk with him.

### **Elder Scroll**

Now that you put on the Amulet of Talos and increased your stamina, the running method will be changed (Shout Whirlwind Sprint -> Sprint -> Shout again -> Wait)

- Fast travel to Ustngrav and head to Mzinchaleft.
- Get into Mzinchaleft.
- When you run out of your stamina and can't wait, drink your wines to restore it.
- Mash the wait key rapidly right after entering the depths.
- Do the shortcut with Whirlwind Sprint.
- Head to the Tower of Mzark.
- Solve the lexicon puzzle. (After inserting the lexicon, press the 2nd button from the right 4 times, and then press the 3rd button twice. Lastly, press the leftmost button once.)
- Get the Elder Scroll.

### **Alduin's Wall**

- Fast travel to Markarth Stables and run to Karthspire
- Do the shortcut.
- After get the Sky Haven Temple's fast-travel point, fast travel to Riverwood and go to the Sleeping Giant Inn.
- Grab wines and skip Esbern and Delphine talking by entering and exiting the inn.
- Fast travel back to the temple.
- Get the Dragonbane and talk to Esbern and Delphine.

### **Clear Skies**

- Fast travel to High Hrothgar.
- Learn the last word of Unrelenting Force (DA)
- After talking with Arngeir, you can hear the effect sound of completing a quest. It's at that time that you should wait to make him go to the courtyard.
- Open the door when a quest log fades out. Then the all words of Clear Skies appear already.
- Learn Clear Skies.

### **Alduin 1**

- Fast travel to Throat of the World.
- Talk to Paarthurnax.
- Learn Fire Breath and shout it to him. You can stop his fire breathing immediatly just by talking to him.
- Read the Elder Scroll and Learn Dragonrend.
- Beat Alduin. Tactics to fight him: attack him behind his wing to induce him to do tail attacks. You can easily bypass it just by moving to the side. When you can hear the line "You may have picked up the weapons of my ancient foes, but you are not their equal!", do him the last damage to skip this line right away.
- When you can see the subtitle "Meyz mul, Dovahkiin. You have become strong.", fast travel to High Hrothgar and fast travel back to Throat of the World.
- Talk to Paarthurnax and fast travel to Dragonsreach.

### **Peace Council**

- Talk to Balgruuf. You can wait to make him stand up, and then stagger him if you're there at 4-6 a.m.
- Fast travel to High Hrothgar and talk to Arngeir.
- Fast travel to Solitude and Guard Warp to the Castle Dour.
- Talk to Tullius.

- When the quest is updated, open the door to the great porch.
- After shooting Dragonrend at Odahviing, approach the door you entered.
- When you can see the dragon steps to the player 4 times or so, get inside and go outside to skip his animation being trapped.
- Talk to Odahviing.
- Right after telling him to be ready to fly, press the tab key and fast travel somewhere to skip the player's animation.

### **Skuldafn**

- Climb and run to the gate to Sovngarde.
- When you exhaust your stamina, start a drinking party.

### **Sovngarde**

- Beat Tsun. (Shoot flame before being talked to and attack 4 times with Dragonbane)
- Enter the Hall of Valor and start the heroes talking go outside and re-enter. After hearing the effect sound of their unsheathing weapons, go outside and get inside again. Repeat entering and exiting until they go across the bridge.
- Clear the fog three times.
- After that, climb the left side of the hill and see the southwest direction to define the position where Alduin spawns.
- Defeat Alduin with power attacks restoring stamina with wines.

Legendary Difficulty Glitchless Main Quest Guide (easier version of the route)

First you need to already be familiar with Novice (you should really start with Novice and try to get at least sub-1:20 before you try Legendary)
I'm just copying here what I sent to Li_L:
so, the basic strategy is Orc/Bound Bow/Atronach Stone
*get the novice hood and robes in the jail cell in helgen
*after exiting helgen, take a different path to whiterun (you won't have the horse to climb the rocks from anise's cabin later), so run to riverwood and get the ft point, then run up the rocks to bleak falls barrow and get that ft point, then run to pelagia farm and attack the guard to get the dragonsreach ft point
*take the carriage to markarth, grab the juniper berries, and then take the carriage to windhelm
*steal a horse and go south, get the kynsgrove ft point, and turn right toward raldbthar when you get the "riverside shack" ft point. get the raldbthar ft point (you can do this fast by climbing up steep rocks at the end)
* fast travel to riverwood and climb the throat of the world
*fast travel back to riverside shack and keep going south to the giant's camp. turn left when you get the ft point for the giant's camp, get off your horse and get the Atronach Stone
*fast travel back to the giant's camp and run into Fort Amol, where you get the bound bow spell. sneak while entering and then start sprinting. just keep trying until you make it out alive
now you can almost cast bound bow with the Novice Hood, so use the Shrine of Julianos nearby. wait 2-3 hours until night, and sneak up so you can use it without the mage attacking you. then fast travel to bleak falls barrow 
* the Shrine of Julianos effect will end about when you exit ustengrav, so cast Bound Bow 8 times before then (while in combat), so you have Conjuration 18. then you can cast it without shrine of Julianos 
*use berzeker rage+ bound bow on the Bleak Falls boss
*now go back to dragonsreach and while there, steal 6 Elves Ear and make 1 Archery Potion (you will make more later) 
use archery potion + berzeker rage to kill mirmulnir
*while the graybeards are testing your Fus Ro, steal their Imp Stool
you can also shoot each of them up to 3 times to get Archery XP
* go to morthal, grab a Swamp Fungal Pod (you can use berserker rage to kill the necromancer), go through ustengrav, then fast travel to markarth 
while you go to sky haven temple, grab 7 Juniper berries
* in the riverwood inn, grab two Elves Ear, make 7 Archery Potions and 1 Paralysis Potion
*fast travel to kynsgrove and use berserker rage and an archery potion for sahloknir (this will be very easy). if you sneak behind the rock near delphine you can get a few sneak attacks at the beginning 
you should also keep casting Bound Bow to get to 20 Conjuration, the mystic binding perk is important. get that and the Archery damage perks. Critical Shot is very weak and useless
* sneak through the second thalmor embassy building. after you get Esbern's Dossier, stand by the door you entered from, sneak, and quicksave. load and read the book until you pickpocket the key
* do ratway skip as usual
*go through raldbthar as usual - just be careful
*for Alduin 1, crouch behind the rocks near him so you can shoot him while avoiding his attacks. keep using dragonrend and clear skies. level up when your health is low. use berzeker rage and archery potions. when berzeker rage ends, use dragonrend again, then run down the mountain until you can wait. wait 24 hours, fast travel back to the throat of the world dragonrend alduin and use berzeker rage when he lands
note: instead of waiting 24 hours you can fast travel to thalmor embassy and back BUT this can cause a bug where alduin's health is restored. you can try to find a way to avoid the bug
*continue as usual until Tsun. if you stand on the bridge and shoot him with your Paralysis Poison while he's running toward you, he can fall off the bridge. quicksave and keep trying
in Alduin 2, stand far away from him. use berzeker rage once whenever you think is the best time, and keep using archery potions

Main Quest (Any%) - Dead Loading/Warping Route

### Cap the frame rates.

You have to limit the FPS to 60 otherwise the game must be extremely glitchy with higher frame rates.

If you are Nvidia graphic card user, you can use its control panel to cap the frame rates.

Open NVIDIA control panel -> Manage 3D settings -> Click 'Program Settings' -> Click 'add' ->Choose 'Skyrim' -> Click 'Max Frame Rate' tab and limit to 60. Done!

Excuse me, but I don't know the option to cap the frame rates other than this way.

When you can't understand what you are doing while you speedrun or practice it, the participants may help you.

### Choose your race and make a start save file.

- You must choose **High Elf (Altmer)** to gain the fastest movement speed. Sex doesn't affect on a record, probably.
- Make a **hard save** right before getting the player's control. I recommend you open the console and type 'save start'.

### Helgen

- Do Infinite Sprint. (You need to do it each time after you sneak, unsheathe, and sprint.)
- Jump on the Alduin's wing and run near the entrance of Helgen.
- Quick save, run to the front of Helgen's exit and make a save there.
-  Quick load, enter Helgen, skip Hadvar's dialogues, and quick save. Then do Load Warping.

### Shrine

- FT to Helgen and run up the slope.
- Grab an arrow and pick up items from a chest on the way before quick save with a third-person view.
- After you run up the slope sufficiently, wait an hour and steal a horse and make a save of setting up Horse Tilting. If the rider doesn't get off, punch the horse.
- Do Horse Tilting to the shrine of the Devines at Windhelm through Riverwood, Valtheim Towers, Windhelm Stables, and Hlaalu Farm. If you can't gain sufficient speed you should land on White River, and then do tilting again.
- Get the blessing of the Divines by activating the shrine of it.
- FT to Riverwood

### Embassy

- Make a save for setting up Ghost Tilting (a.k.a. Etherial Tilting) with the forge.
- Do Ghost Tilting, make a hard save under High Hrothgar, and quick save under Ivarstead.
- Load the quick save (DO NOT quick load. That causes a crash definitely.) and press the activate key to warp up to Throat of the World.
- FT to Hlaalu Farm and make a save for setting up Ghost Tilting with the tanning rack.
- Do Ghost Tilting through Septimus Signus' Outpost and Katla's Farm, and quick save and load beneath Thalmor Embassy.
- Enter the embassy and take quest items.
- FT to Septimus Signus' Outpost.

### Karthspire

- What you need to steal is only Blank Lexicon.
- Keep trying to steal it until you succeed, and then quick save.
- Load the save file made under High Hrothgar.
- Jump off from the cliff in the courtyard to do damage yourself over 100 HP and make a save in front of the door while you are available to activate it. (DO NOT quick save while you do that.)
- Quick load and do Dead Warping. (Basically, you have to press the activate key with a precise timing.)
- Quick save with a third person view and do Horse Tilting.
- Land on the river near Karthspire and get into it.
- Jumping the puzzles to skip them and get the FT point of Sky Haven Temple.
- FT to Ivarstead.

### Esbern

- Guard Warp to Riften. (Commit a crime, yield, and pay the fine.)
- Run through Ratway.
- Start the conversation with Esbern. (Talk to him and cancel. Talk to him again and choose the under conversation, and then QS and QL, wait an hour, and skip his dialogues with QS and QL. When the door is open, bump him and start to talk with him choosing all of the under conversation. When you see the subtitle 'We must go, quickly now...', bump him again, talk to him twice, and quick save.)
- Do Dead Warping and FT to Riverwood.
- Go to Sleeping Giant Inn and skip dialogues. (Wait an hour after entering the inn, and exit. Wait an hour again and do QS and QL 4 times, and then return to the inn. When the quest is updated go outside.)
- FT to Sky Haven Temple. NOT Karthspire!!!!!!
- Quick Wait 8 hours. If Esbern doesn't appear wait only an hour again.
- Talk to him, choose the conversation 'How do we find the entrance to Sky Haven Temple?', and bump him.
- FT to Mistveil Keep activating the Blood Seal.

### Initiation

- You cannot skip fade in while the player is animated.
- Jump to skip the animation.
- Do Vendor Glitch with Balimund.
- Set up Marriage Glitch, which you can gain cutscene control while reading the Elder Scroll later.
- FT back to Sky Haven Temple.
- Quick Wait 21 hours and QS/QL.
- Get into the temple, QS/QL, and wait an hour.
- Duplicate Dragonbane.
- Begin the conversation with Esbern and Delphine. Skip Esbern's dialogues twice and wait an hour. Talk to him, do QS/QL twice, and bump him. Then talk with Delphine, choose the bottom conversation twice, and quick save.
- Do Dead Warping.
- Start the conversation with Arngeir. (Choose the top -> the bottom -> the top -> QS/QL -> the bottom -> the mid -> the bottom.)
- FT to Valtheim Towers.

### Mzark

- Quick save with a third person view and do Horse Tilt to the exit of Tower of Mzark through Battle-Born Farm. If you can't clip the wall of the lift, equip Dragonbane, sneak in front of the door, and do the right power attack spamming the activate key.
- Solve the puzzle to get the Elder Scroll.
- Do Dead Warping
- Get the FT point of High Hrothgar and learn Clear Skies.
- FT to Throat of the World when you see or hear the effect of obtaining a dragon soul after skipping Arngeir's dialogue.

### Alduin 1

- Talk to Paarthurnax, choose a conversation and cancel.
- Skip the dialogues by QS/QL and his fire breathing by talking to him.
- QS/QL at the same time you learn Fire Breath to skip his dialogue.
- After updating the quest, equip Fire Breath and shout to him.
- Begin the conversation with him. Choose the bottom -> the top -> the bottom -> the top -> the top -> the top -> the bottom -> the bottom -> QS/QL.
- After the quest marker on Paarthurnax is away, read the Elder Scroll.
- Just before getting into the cutscene, spam quick save and quick wait until around 6 a.m. (If you've gotten along until this section you need to quick wait 17 or 18 hours probably.)
- Kill the dragon and FT to Battle-Born Farm.
- Do Guard Warp to Dragonsreach.
- Skip the jarl and others' conversations. (Talk to Balgruuf, choose the top then the bottom, and cancel. After cancelling to be talked to by Irileth, attack someone and yield. Cancel the conversation right after paying the fine.)
- FT to High Hrothgar and then FT to Throat of the World.
- Learn Dragonrend. (No problem if the letters and the sound effects that appear when you learn some shout aren't displayed.)
- FT to High Hrothgar after you hear Alduin's dialogue 'Nivahriin joorre!'
- FT back to Throat of the World.
- Kill Gormleith and skip the others' dialogue by talking to them.
- FT to Dragonsreach when you see the subtitle 'Faal Kel...?! Nikriinne...'
- Talk to Farengar and proceed with the conversation until his subtitle 'I, ah learned of a certain stone tablet...' appears.
- Equip Dragonrend and register it and the others to favourites before binding the number key to them to change the shout you equip immediately.
- Shout to Alduin
- Move near a certain rock. (Please check someone's recent record.)
- Beat first Alduin's fight with Infinite Power Attacks.
- QS/QL their dialogues, but you can't skip 'Meyz mul. Dovahkiin. You have become strong.'
- Skip the next one, QS/QL 3 times and talk to Paarthurnax. Choose the bottom and cancel. (If he lands on the air not the precise cliff, FT to High Hrothgar and FT back to Throat of the World. Then he's on the word wall.)
- FT to Dragonsreach.

### Council

- Have a conversation with Balgruuf. Choose the top and the ones other than persuasion. Proceed until click 'What if you didn't have to worry about an enemy attack?'
- Do Dead Warping. At this point, you can succeed in it just by spamming the activate key.
- Carry on the conversation with Arngeir.
- FT to Katla's Farm and do Guard Warp to Castle Dour
- Make the conversation with Tullius. Choose the bottom twice and close the dialogue when you see the subtitle 'I suspect we might have use for someone resourceful...', and then QS/QL and talk with him again. Choose the top -> the bottom -> the top -> cancel.
- FT to Windhelm Stables.
- Do Horse Tilting to Palace of the Kings. If you feel it's risky, you can choose the Guard Warp.
- Talk with Ulfric. Cancel just after talking to him and talk to him again. Choose the top and the ones other than persuasion.
- QS/QL before doing Dead Warping otherwise he doesn't come out in the council.
- Get inside High Hrothgar.
- Take your seat and wait an hour standing up. Then you'll be talked to by Arngeir, so choose the top and close the dialogue.
- Skip dialogues with QS/QL 3 times or so and wait an hour. Continue to skip them.
- You will be talked to by Ulfric after Arngeir says 'Perhaps this would be a good time...' Choose the bottom twice and cancel.
- You can't skip this Tullius' dialogue 'First, let's be clear. This council wasn't my idea. I think it's a waste of time.' after 'Enough!'
- Just press the tab when you are talked to by Tulius. DO NOT choose the bottom conversation!
- Wait an hour after you skip Delphine's dialogue 'And I advise you both to listen to what he has to say, before you do anything rash.'
- Wait an hour again after you skip Esbern's dialogue 'Alduin has returned! The World-Eater! Even now, he devours the souls of your fallen comrades!'
- Wait an hour further after you skip Esbern's dialogue 'Can you not put aside your hatred for even one moment in the face of this mortal danger?'
- Wait an hour furthermore after you skip Ulfric's dialogue 'If he's right about Alduin... we both have just as much to lose here, Tullius, remember that.'
- You'll be talked to by Ulfric after skipping his dialogue 'It seems I have no choice but to let the Dragonborn decide. Although I'm starting to doubt your fairness.' Choose the top and cancel.
- You can't skip this Arngeir's dialogue 'The Stormcloaks will withdraw from the Rift, allowing Imperial troops unhindered access.'
- Have a conversation with Esbern. Choose the top and skip one dialogue, and then close and QS/QL. Talk to him again and proceed until the dialogue 'Od - Ah - Viing...' appears.
- Go outside and FT to Dragonsreach.

### Odahviing

- Equip Call Dragon.
- Talk with Balgruuf. Choose the top -> the bottom -> cancel -> QS/QL -> Shout (fully charged)
- After the quest is updated, wait an hour, QS/QL, and open the door to the great porch holding the shout key or button.
- If the guard who should be killed by the dragon is alive, you must finish him otherwise the dragon will try to kill him again. It has to be a huge time-loss.
- When the dragon approaches you, get back inside and go outside again. Then you can skip the animation that the dragon is captured.
- Make a conversation with him. Choose the top -> the top -> the bottom -> the top -> cancel -> QS/QL.
- Wait an hour after unbound him.
- Talk to him and choose the top, and then FT somewhere. You can skip the animation to departure to Skuldafn by doing so.

### Skuldafn

- Do Horse Tilting to the gate of Sovngarde.

### Alduin 2

- Run down the stairs.
- Quick save with a third person view when you are at the same height as the bridge.
- Do Horse Tilting to the front of Tsun.
- Beat Tsun.
- Do Horse Tilting to the top right door of Hall of Valor.
- Start the heroes' conversations.
- Repeat exiting and entering twice, and then QS/QL until the heroes get outside. Enter and exit it again.
- Do Horse Tilting to the heroes.
- Shout Clear Skies and skip their dialogues. Repeat that 3 times.
- When you shout it lastly, climb the left side of the hill and see the south direction.
- Shout Dragonrend to Alduin when the quest marker is changed.
- Become a DRAGON SLAYER.

- Aggro guard and run/wine through the Ratway and Warrens, get Esbern, and guard warp out
- Fast travel to Riverwood
- Esbern and Delphine talk, steal more wine, and fast travel to Skyhaven
- Get inside temple, get Dragonsbane, get through convo
- Fast travel to Winterhold

Septimus + Elder Scroll
- Aggro guard, get jailed, escape, run to Septimus's hideout
- Steal both things off of Septimus
- Fast travel to Winterhold
- Run/whirlwind to Raldbthar, then through Raldbthar Deep Market
- Run/jump through Market, do puzzle, go down to Blackreach
- Run/whirlwind through Blackreach to Tower of Mzark entrance
- Do puzzle and get the Elder Scroll, leave
- Fast travel to Hrogthgar

Clear Skies + Alduin
- Talk to Arngeir, and then get Clear Skies from him
- Fast travel to the Throat of the World
- Talk to Parthnuux, then read scroll
- After cutscene fight Alduin
- Fast travel to Hrothgar, fast travel back to Throat of the World, and talk to Parthnuux
- Fast travel to Dragonsreach

Peace Council
- Talk to the jarl

**Text Glitch**
When leaving the game open for a long time (3+ hours), a glitch happens where you can skip through conversations much faster than normal. This glitch has an annoying long and inconsistent setup and doesn't work the same on everyone's computer, so it's not allowed in runs. You are advised to restart your game after every completed run or handful of attempts to avoid this.

**Ctrl+PrtScn Hotkey**
This hotkey changes the game speed to be based on framerate rather than real time, which means the game runs normal speed at 30 FPS. Higher than that the game runs too fast (2x speed at 60 FPS, 4x at 120, etc.) and lower than that it runs slower. Since not everyone can maintain a constant 60 FPS (framedrops in Riften are common) this hotkey is not allowed.

**Console Commands**
Use of console commands would make the run trivial and boring so no commands are allowed to be executed during a run. Console commands are very helpful during testing / routing, however you are advised to restart your game prior to doing runs to ensure no commands entered will effect anything.

**Mods**
As Skyrim is already an unstable game, we can't be sure any installed mods will not effect the run in any way or work the same across computers. Therefore any mods must be removed before doing any runs. Even trivial things like having SKSE running is not allowed.
