by Note: This guide is deprecated. The current WR as of 2019 still acquires the Young Dragon Gem, but skips the potion trader in Fire World (saves almost a minute). I might make a new guide, but that's pretty much all that's different.
- Shadow Tower (ST): walk forward, follow path left, enter load door
- Human, Solitary Region: walk forward. pick up hpotion from behind first pillar on right, kill green slime for poison vaccine, pick up quilted armor from pulpit
- proceed down hall, grab hpot on the left in the corner, proceed past 1-2 spider(s) and follow path
- in next open room, touch tombstone near opposite wall (furthest right) and drop down. grab cune on ground and enter door behind you
- Human, Cursed Region: hug right wall throughout entire area. grab axe in immediate right corner after initial hall. grab helm, ashes, 2 hpot from first room, continue hugging right wall
- pass through next door you see while hugging right wall. continue to hug right wall tightly after exiting hallway and enter another hallway. in the next room, grab gloves in left corner upon entry and kill second/furthest spider (100% anti-venom drop rate).
- optionally grab potion in boss room (immediately in left corner), otherwise continue hugging right and exit area
- ST: hug left for quarter circle, fall down to lower level, another quarter circle, enter door on left
- Earth, Poisonous Cavern: follow path left, then stay centered and walk forward. open door, take 3 steps, then continue holding forward and begin strafing right. you should pass by the watcher plant without being slowed or damaged and see the cutscene door behind him
- open door and trigger cutscene. after cutscene, menu and equip helm, armor, gloves, and axe. use poison vaccine.
- turn back around and follow poison hall thru s curve. angle slight left and look up upon room entry, kill hanging dead. pick up hpot slightly left of him on ground, then kill the other one in this room to the right.
- continue forward. hug right wall in next room and kill watcher plant. cut left back across room diagonally and ascend ladder on left side
- strafe left after ladder and grab shield of resist in far corner. strafe back right and enter room ahead of ladder.
- kill 1-2 watcher plants
- proceed to back right of room. wingsect will spawn. RNG drops: nothing, bow, soul ring.
- killing the first wingsect can either spawn one in the same room or the adjacent secret room (door on right wall near the back). go wherever the next one spawns. kill 1-2 until more spawn in the main room and drop the bow. secret room wingsect drops: nothing, crushing broad sword, magical amulet - they cannot drop the bow. very rare chance bow does not drop at all
- once bow drops, grab and leave the way you came. hug left wall and drop into poison diagonally and immediately enter far door (across from your initial entry point to ladder room). once you exit the poison floor hall via door, immediately menu, equip shield and any other gear drops you got except bow, then use anti-venom. proceed down hallway and exit area
- Earth, Stone Cavern: take first right, fall in hole 19 grab cune to your back left after falling in hole, then proceed to right
- hug left wall and take first two lefts. dodge sloth bug (hug right wall, hope for good spawn) and take first right. keep straight at fork to dybbuk digging cutscene
- fall down dybbuk's hole, immediately turn around and hug right wall. follow hallway to load door
- Earth, False Pit Area: make hairpin turn to your right after you exit hallway, save game for later feather use. turn around & cut left back out of save hallway. grab cune in the left corner and then proceed through load door directly opposite of load door you came in thru
- ST: as you enter main tower cylinder, immediately fall off right hand side of platform and turn around, follow hallway and enter load door ahead
- Fire, Phoenix Cavern: open chest (takes second to load in) to your immediate left as you enter and grab guardian amulet. dodge fireballs from fire jinn (spawns by chest) and cut across the room to lava river and grab plate of curing, then exit the door you came in.
- ST: exit hallway, hug right wall for a quarter circle around the tower then turn left at stairs. descend stairs and enter door ahead
- Water, Impure Pool: walk straight ahead until acid river, take the right (walk through acid) and fall in acid pit. turn right as you fall, then walk forward while strafing a step left to dodge worm face. follow footprints to secret door, go thru. proceed straight ahead and open load door
- ST: drop down to right after hallway, enter load door on right after quarter circle
- Monster, False Eye Area: walk forward. hug right wall and strafe right a step as you exit hallway to dodge night howler (headless monkey). keep straight down next hall and trigger lizard servant cutscene.
- on the center of the right wall past the cutscene is a secret door, enter it. dodge saurian soldier and hang right. go up the short stairwell ahead and talk to the lizard servant again.
- after taking the shadow tiger sword he gives you, menu and equip the plate, shadow tiger (in right hand reserve slot), and guardian amulet, then use hpot to exit menu. backtrack to the load door you entered from, dodging saurian soldier and night howler again.
- ST: hug left wall and enter load door to left after quarter circle
- Monster, Screeching Area: hold right strafe as you enter. proceed through threshold and take first left. in save room, touch left tombstone
- should have 4 cunes. buy 2 feathers. buy 1-2 hpot and 0-1 mpot depending on need. exit shop
- walk forward to opposite shop and repair in order of priority: bow, plate, shield, gloves. helm if you have HP to spare (you should). if you have soul ring from wingsects, repair that (prioritize above gloves if short on HP). exit shop
- exit save room to the left and enter door ahead (opposite end of the room from earlier entry point). take the first right where you hear the invisible monster growling. skip the dragon gem room and strafe left into another corridor. turn right out of the corridor past the beast door in front of you and hang left in the corridor. follow the hall left and enter necron's room.
- dodge death serpents by holding up shield to show their location. strafe between them from left to right. keep walking and trigger necron cutscene
- Boss, Necron: switch to the shadow tiger after the monologue. necron will randomly take one of five actions every few seconds: a) twirl staff, spawning a damaging mist with a tiny hurtbox in front of him b) swing in a wide (almost 90 degree) arc in front of him that deals heavy damage c) cast a giant blue aoe explosion spell that deals massive incremental damage while within its radius d) take one small step toward you e) take three quick steps toward you. can be performed several times a row without cooldown stay at mid-range and attack when he 3-steps. once you deal enough damage, your attacks dealing damage above a threshold will start to stun him (stun phase). you can risk attacking in other actions than e in this phase because stunning him will interrupt any other action.
- as soon as he dies pick up his ring and menu. equip ring and explosive magic (first in the list), then feather back to false pit (skips Necron's long death monologue)
- Earth, False Pit Area: turn right out of save hallway and dodge earth knight. if you encounter an acid pod in this room, kill it (it will block you otherwise). enter hallway behind earth knight
- keep moving through the corridor and take the third left, killing 0-4 acid pods on the way (drop ashes or hpots). grab the two ashes in the dead end and go back the way you came
- on the way back, take the first right and another right immediately after
- follow the winding bridge, killing any sloth bugs on the way with the explosive spell. pick up the tower shield and anything the sloth bugs drop. enter the load door at the end of the bridge
- dodge the earth knights by strafing behind the one on your right as you exit the hallway and keep moving forward across the room. when you get to the wide hallway, equip judgment magic on your ring and enter the boss door
