Hello fellow speedrunners. I've kinda got annoyed allways doing those manual split, so I sat down today, read several tutorials and worked with Cheat Engine in order to write an auto script.
Unfortunately it's not fully finished yet

It does automatically start your timer and do a split whenever you are loading a new level. But I couldn't find a pointer for the bomb-cutscene, so you still have to do the last split yourself. Also, it does not reset the timer. Thought that might be preferably anyway.
I didn't fully tested it yet since I am still working on it. But if you do encounter any problems, let me know.

To use it:
Go to Layout Editor in your livesplit
Add a new layout part by pressing the + button
Chose Control -> Scriptable Auto Splitter
Go into Layout Settings and choose the script.

It should be active immediately.

As I mentioned above, I simply could not find any value that could indicate if you finished bomb-event in mg2 or not. I tried a few different ideas, but for god's sake I couldn't get a proper value. So if anyone knows how to use cheat engine and/or how to write your own auto split scripts, feel free to message me.

I've updated the script. It now checks if the game is the right version and it does not do an automatic split after the 4th level.
So for now it only starts the timer as well as does as split for every map change.
