I am interested in putting a run together for the 100% category. I still have a bit of practice to do before attempting it, but I had a couple things I wanted cleared up. The rules state that Pipe needs to be unlocked.

Would a 1 lap race for Crash and Half Pipe, to meet the 1st place requirement, be allowed?

Also for the circuit portion, is there a requirement to finish 3 laps for every race? Or could I strategically tank races? Assuming I still had enough to points to get 1st.

For the fresh profile part, if I were to have on video the making of a fresh profile, and then go to reset the run after a suboptimal start and clear records, would that be permitted?

I bring up the fresh profile thing only for the sake of setting up cars. So if I were to get 15 minutes into a run and decide it's not a good pace and restart, it would take 3-4 minutes to reset because I'd adjust the settings for all the cars I would use

You bring up some good points. I think it's fair for 100%'s rules to differ from the circuits or IL's rules in a small way. The regular circuit's goal of completing every race can have its own rule and 100% can focus solely on its completion (in 1st overall still of course). Clear Records should be allowed for a restart as long as it wipes all progress towards 100%. I'll look into testing that and update the rules if that is the case. I can rewrite the rules after a bit of review.

The only thing I see being an advantage for clearing records, is maybe unlocking all vehicles on a quick collectible run, making all car changes you need to make on the special cars, and then clearing records and starting over. That would save you menu time. Also, If I'm playing on a fresh profile, but another profile on the node has Pipe and Midway unlocked, could I enter those tracks before meeting the requirements for unlocking them legitimately?
