I find that the gearless and gear categories are pay to win at this point so if you want a more balanced category, choose the DX version. It fixes a few bugs, uses a custom avatar and doesn't allow gear. This is probably the better category for balanced speedrunning of the game. If you have overpowered gear, have fun snatching the record!
When the timer starts: The timer starts when you start moving from the first spawn point.
When the timer ends: The timer ends after you fall into the pit and you're in the box.
Splits:
- Aboveground
- Underground They seem pretty self-explanatory, don't they?
Categories:
- Gearless (Except Swords and Guns) All swords and/or guns are permitted here.
- With Gear You can use any type of gear you want from magic carpets to gravity coils.
- DX Version You play the deluxe version of the game (Links for the games are at the beginning of the guide).
You can also watch other people speedrun the game to find out all of the glitches and oversights to adapt them into your run.
