I'm practicing speedrunning this game and getting is down pretty good but I really struggle baiting zombie lunges and juking them. I've noticed speedrunners use the analog stick to achieve this more easily but I'm not sure what movement settings they are using. When I recently watched Pessimism's run it seemed like he had Run mapped to the left joystick, no holding X or anything and it seemed like he was no longer on tank controls when doing it. Sorry for the rant, I'm just confused as to what I'm seeing or what the preferred movement tech is. If anyone could explain I'd be very appreciative.

it is a setting called "alternate controls" within the game's controls menu, it gives you full 360 movement with left analog stick and automatically sprints.

left stick is always run, an easy way to do zombie jukes is move forward into their range a slight bit, and then move back, its better on alt controls

ohhh i was unaware that alt control scheme had left joystick as Run on its own (without also holding X) very cool! Thanks everyone!
