Hey guys, I'm super appreciative of all the wonderful materials/guides uploaded here, thanks to them I picked up the game a couple days ago and spat out a Jill Any% Normal 1:52 today for my starting splits, but I wondered if anybody has advice for getting Black Tiger to play nice with Jill?

The idea of hitting both him and the door at the same time is real clever, but I can't seem to get him to actually stand there, it's happened once for me by total accident after he knocked me down near the door, is there a specific trick to it or is it mostly luck?

What Black Tiger does is based on luck, unfortunately. You can either get a lunge towards the door, or she'll just stand there and try to spew poison at you, or she'll lunge at you later, which in my opinion is the worst luck you can get. Obviously the fastest one you want is the instant lunge, but if she tries to poison you, at least you can just get out of the way and she'll take care of a web for you.

Ah that's bummer. I didn't know she could destroy her own web with spit though that's good to know. Thanks.

Hold the analog stick to the upper right as you're about to regain control of Jill. Black Tiger will either go for the slam, quick poison or charge poison. Optimal is slam so you can shoot her and the webs at the same time. If she lunges, you will have to practice dodging her and getting back to your original position and pump cancel with the launcher. Black Tiger is all luck though.

I actually didn't even know you could pump cancel the grenade launcher that's an awesome tip, I haven't practiced it yet because I still barely know the route.

Thanks for the tips man, I'll work on distinguishing which pattern she's using and what I need to do in each situation. Seems a bit like the hunter stairs issue where you need to know a few different cues and how to act for each one.

Luckily pump cancelling is pretty easy to pick up. I'm sure you'll get it in no time, as well as understanding what to do with the possible patterns she has.

Thanks for the advice again, everyone. I managed to get my positioning working well enough to hit the door webs and Black Tiger at the same time.

Dodging her attacks is a different matter though lol

im glad to hear Black Tiger is all about Luck.....i get super nervous once I get there cause she ends me a lot.

I don't run Jill at all, I only do Chris but I'll go over what I do with Chris as it might have some similarities with Jill. At the initial start of the fight I run straight forward with Chris so just holding up on the D-pad and x or square whichever controller you're using And after the camera angle change and running slightly past the door I stand and wait and at that moment, She will either spew acid or lunge at you. If she spews acid she will shoot it at the door and knock off one of the webs and after that run to the door equip the flamethrower and take care of the rest of the web, this method doesn't kill her but it is slightly faster since she takes care of one of the webs for you the only worry is her cooperating when running back since she is still alive. The second occurrence is after you run straight forward and wait she lunges at you and misses you but ends up right in front of the door and from there you can flamethower her and webs at the same time killing her and passing through safely and back safely, which takes ever so slightly longer since she didn't take out one of the webs for you.
