Awesome deal. I'll wait until I update the official build until I can figure out how to find a version difference between the two. The LiveSplit ASL script doesn't really cover version identifiers very well, or really, how I'm supposed to find them. Will figure something out though, I'm sure. Even if it's just an additional setting. I really appreciate your help.

Okay Bawk and Xerian have tested it with the new pointers Nexusphobiker found. I also have a rough idea on how to go about finding the pointers again, should a future update break the script again. Thank you Nexus!

I will push the update tonight once I've written the game version detection when I get home in about six hours.

I just released an update (version 3.0.0) that works with both the old version and Steam's updated version yesterday. This also potentially fixes the injected evie split.Special thanks to Nexusphobiker for their help in finding the pointers and giving me some... pointers on re-finding them should they ever change again.

I had the "Injected Evie" split fire off on "Retrying" entering the final chase sequence, for some reason. It happened once and hasn't happened again since. Not a clue.

This would have happened pre-3.0.0. If it happened on 3.0.0 I have no clue. I haven't had the chance to test it with the retry strat, but the fix I wrote specifically made it so it checks to make sure you aren't in a death state first (from retrying). I'd be confused if it fired on retrying with 3.0.0.

It was 3.0.0, happened yesterday after patching the game. I did do the Retry strat like, two more times after on subsequent runs with no issue so I couldn't even really hazard a guess.

Let me know if it happens again :) I see no reason why it would trigger, and it's odd that it would trigger once but not again right when you retry. If anyone else has this problem (and can trigger it more than once and verify they're on 3.0.0) please let me know.

Can't seem to find an answer to this anywhere but does the autosplit function only work with the steam version of the game? Can't get it to work with the Microsoft store version.

Yes, it was developed around the Steam version. I do not have the MS store version so can't currently support it, unfortunately.

Just a heads up that I'm expecting the autospliter to likely break between now and the banned footage DLC. Or not. We'll find out. Don't panic if it does though, I'll be on a patch as soon as I'm aware of any breakage.

Hi CursedToast, First of all, thanks for this autosplit! I noticed that dying during the Mia tape will autosplit Mia (end tape) (not real important though, just died stupidly once and noticed that)

Hi Syncoope! Thanks for noticing that. I knew I forgot adding checking against if the player died in one of the splits; now I remember which one!

This has been fixed. (Latest version is now 3.0.1)

Strange question but at what point does the chainsaw jack kill split? The first time I did the fight it split like, the moment after I yanked the chainsaw out, when I did the most recent run it split like way after his legs had finally fallen to the ground; it couldve just been me not paying attention i just wondered at what point it splits so I can be sure

^ Yeah, I can corroborate that the Chainsaw Jack thing sometimes splits weird. I think it's meant to split like, halfway through the chainsawing the door animation? Which I presume is when the chainsaw actually vanishes from the inventory? Sometimes it splits well before that though.

Also, I had the thing again where "Injected Eveline" is firing off after doing the final restart in the saltmines. This doesn't happen every time at all.

My autosplit always split during chainsawing the door, so I suppose that the split is right here but maybe some bug can happen

I'll double check the code for Jack and Evie, but it should split midway through the animation for cutting the door open. I've never had that one "misfire" except a few times when death accidentally triggered it (which I patched). What version of the autosplitter are you guys using (edit splits and let me know version number). There used to be a couple of bugs related to that split, potentially you're using an old version. Otherwise, I don't know. The script checks to see if the chainsaw vanishes from your inventory (and you didn't die as a result) and triggers a split if so. Very odd if it's spliting early and you're on 3.0.1.

As far as injecting evie goes... Every time I've tested it it's split correctly. It's very hard to say why it misfires. I guess I can do a run to figure out the map name where you inject her and add that as another condition.. At this point, if you're using 3.0.1 and these splits are firing on retries (Evie) or incorrectly then I'm going to have to blame it on the game temporarily nulling your inventory at odd moments, which would cause the split to trigger. Which just comes down to it being a game problem and nothing I can really predict. I'll take a look when I get home though.

Okay, I think I know what caused it (chainsaw duel) to split early. I'm going to venture to guess you probably healed, or used the last of a disposable item (like ammo or something). Something that would cause the inventory to "shift" data-wise. I had a similar problem with a few other splits, and I applied the same fix to the chainsaw split.

Regarding evie, I'll take a look at the map name when I get home.

That's probably it. I normally pick up a herb before the fight from the cabinet, and I use that as soon as I kill Jack to heal and empty my inventory and move space ready for the scorpion key.
