Hello. I have a question. I am using PS2 controller. In the rule of RE 2 speed run PC version Using joy to key Aim → R1 L1 Menu → start △ Dash (Cancel) → × R2 Decision → □ L2 Is it a rule violation to set? (I know that turbo should not be used on rules)

That should be fine I think. The only rule is that two separate functions cannot be mapped to the same button.

For example, mapping both Dash and Confirm/Decision to X.

Those controls are OK. Main reason is because 2 buttons that perform the same action can't be pressed at the same time in RE2. So for example having 2 aim buttons wont help you with QS because when you press one button then the 2nd button gets deactivated/un-usable. Same with the action key if you hold one of them and try to open a door with the 2nd one then you cant open the door :P

Controls that are NOT OK is when you map 2 actions to 1 key like: Dash + Up Dash + Down Dash + Left Dash + Right

Thank you for Furrywalz&Darazanjoll.:) With those responses, I will work on RE 2 with a refreshed feeling. I am careful not to mix the two functions on one button.
