Any% World Record Explanation

Im bored so ima yap about how the World Record is achieved. I doubt anybody will read this.

**1 - The Setup**

- The best way to run is in a private server or a empty server. The game has multiple things that happen server wide like elevators and falling grates which could mess up a good run if somebody else is at the same area you are.

- I use livesplit to track the time I get to each area so I know what pace im on.

- In Private Servers I like to think of the game as "Cycle Based". This means that if you get to a area within a certain time frame you can exit it at the same time as a faster or slower run. 

- The first cycle is the vents. From what I understand the vents run on the same cycle from server start so if you reach them at the same time after server start each run you can get past them on the same pace as a faster/slower run.

- The second cycle is the walls that move up and down with the faces. If you reach them at the same time after server start each run you can get past them on the same pace as a faster/slower run because they also run on the same cycle from server start.

- Timing starts on first movement. Including using the camera to change the way the player is facing.

**2 - The Ladder**

- The ladder is the first hard part of the run but it gets easy with practice.

- The ladder is reached by jumping outside off the balcony and onto a lower ledge. After that you go around the corner and you come up behind the ladder.

- To get on the ladder you have to jump off the ledge turn to face the ladder and go towards it before you fall to far or else you will die.

**3 - The Vents**

- In Private Servers if you reach the vents around the same time you will hit the same pattern. In Public Servers the vents are random.

- The smoke usually fades in a tiny bit before it does damage. It fades out long after it stops dealing damage.

**4 - The Pool**

- When hitting the button going into the water to fast could bug the game and get you stuck in place. Move fast but not to fast.

**5 - The Sewer**

- If your in a public server things could go very wrong at this part. If other people step on the falling grates they will fall for you to meaning you will have to make a risky jump or just wait.

- At the end of the section jump into the ladder to gain height and move faster.

**6 - The Fire Area Thing**

- This area has lots of slopes at the start so jumping is the fastest way to move (I think).

- This part is probably one of the most difficult parts to move fast in. Firstly because of the large death bricks that require tight jumps to move past. Secondly becuase of the climb up going in lots of different directions which you have to get a feel for to move quickly past.

- At the end of the section jump into the ladder to gain height and move faster.

**7 - Sewer Sequel**

- Not much to say here but the jumps are tight so try facing staight.

- At the end of the section jump into the ladder to gain height and move faster.

**8 - Faces, Climb, Lasers**

- The Faces if your in a private server are the same if you reach them at the same time in every run. In public servers are random so it is very easy to get crushed.

- The climb isnt to hard but you have to get a feel for it before doing it quickly.

- As for the lasers try and cut past as many as you can to save time.

**9 - Elevator**

- This section of the run is the part that decides your run. Here we use the flying of the pieces to launch us in the air to avoid climbing the truss as much as possible. Jumping in the elevator makes you more likely to launch high.

- Jump into the trusses to gain height and move faster.

**10 - Creepy Part**

- The jumps here are very tight to do so don't try to optimize to much as there is a very high risk of falling. Go down the sides of rocks to get a farther jump. 
- As for the elevator don't move as it is very buggy and might clip you out.

**11 - Ending**

- Use the ledges to have a easier time reaching the truss.

- Private Servers have the cart already spawned. Public Servers could if nobody has used it yet.

- Move around a lot to get in the cart quickly.

- At the end don't jump to quick or else you risk going flying.

- Timing ends as soon as you touch the badge.
