Get to 28 stars total on your band for the run before playing the “Battle Of The Vans” in your band’s set hometown.

Get to 100 stars total on your band and 15 stars in a next city with enough fans for the run before playing the “Bus or Bust! Competition”.

Choose “Rebel Girl” as a 3rd extra song until you unlock “Lump”, then get rid of that song for both Make A Setlist gigs with 2 or 3 songs. Still choose it for 4-song Make A Setlist gigs until you unlock “Master Exploder”. It’ll save time.

Get to 127 stars total on your band and 15 stars in a next city for the run before playing the “Merch Search Showcase”.

Get to 240 stars total on your band and 15 stars in a next city for the run before playing the “No Pain, No Plane Challenge”.

Get to 284 stars total on your band and 15 stars in a next city for the run before playing the “Roadie Rockathon”.

Get to 360 stars total on your band and 15 stars in a next city for the run before playing the “NAAM Convention”.

DON’T DO AN EXTRA 4 SONG GIG IN ANY OTHER CITY ONCE YOU’RE AT 405 STARS TOTAL TO UNLOCK THE GLOBAL PROMOTION SHOWCASE, IT WILL WASTE MORE TIME. Get to 425 stars total on your band and 15 stars in a next city for the run before playing the “Global Promotion Showcase” in a next city to unlock the final gig in Shanghai.

Don’t unlock any new songs through setting up your characters for the speedrun before starting the run to make sure it won’t select any other song that is not a starter song too early at the start of the run. (Optional)

No need to switch to any staff member for any difficulty (Except Easy as not possible to beat the game on at all), it will be enough fans to unlock Shanghai.

It’s faster to hit “Yeah Sure” on opportunities from starting gigs than just scrolling to “No Way” for story progression gigs to do since most opportunities don’t replace the last song in the gig and will not change the setlists at all. If you get any opportunities that changes the last song to be a challenging song on drums or guitar. Do it on any of the story progression gigs except the “No Pain, No Plane Challenge”, since Pinball Wizard is shorter than the offered songs from a gig opportunity. As for the opportunities for a challenging song on Guitar as the last song to be replaced, pick “No Way” on “Battle Of The Vans”, and “No Pain, No Plane Challenge”.

Always say “No Way” on gig opportunities that are named “Snarky Reviewer!” or “Biggest. Show. Ever.”, since it will disable overdrive for the whole gig, and you’ll need it to make it easier to get 5 stars unless you can 5 star any song easily without overdrive at all.

If you’re looking for easier songs to 5 star on Expert Guitar that is 2 minutes long, don’t pick “Welcome To The Neighborhood”. That song is too hard to deal with 5-starring on Expert the whole time, except for Vocals as single player. Pick “We Got The Beat” instead. Over 2 minutes long, easier on all instruments, even on Expert. If you’re having trouble 5-starring “Master Exploder” on Expert Guitar without someone playing Drums, pick “Supreme Girl” instead.
