For this game, you can normally skip dialogue very quickly by holding down either Backspace or the Right-Mouse Button. While this is normally quick enough it's not the fastest method possible.

My method of skipping dialogue can save several minutes over simply holding down Backspace, it's quite easy to do as well but it's very hard on your hand and can get painful so be warned.

So your least-dominant hand should be placed somewhere close to the Enter and Backspace keys on your keyboard, place your middle finger and index finger over your Enter Key and spam the key using both fingers very rapidly.

While doing that, the hand over your mouse should be alternating between spamming the Left-Mouse Button and Right-Mouse Button very rapidly.

Now try doing the two together and see how much faster you can skip the dialogue, most of the time the text shouldn't even appear on the screen for more than a couple of frames before the next bit of dialogue pops up.

However, since this can start to get painful if you do it for too long it's important to know when to rest your hand. There are key moments where you don't have to spam anything for a few brief seconds. This inculdes:

-Any time the judge is about to slam his Gavel. -Any time Phoenix or Edgeworth slams their desk or does some other sort of animation when there's no dialogue. -Any time moments before the witness is about to give their testimony -The starting cutscene in The First Turnabout and Turnabout Samurai -Whenever Gumshoe scratches his head -Whenever a witness is called and the screen fades in and out.

There's plenty of other moments, if you've already played the game for long enough you should get a hang of when you can rest your hand and when you can't.
