THIS IS NOW PATCHED, AND BANNED (keeping the guide up for history I suppose)

There's an exploit whereby pressing pause and then unpausing in the loading screen for a scenario slightly extends the load (for some reason with the Beneath buffering icon in the corner instead?). This is a great bug because you can move around during this small period of time whilst not actually being able to see the level. This will reduce the RTA by approximately 250ms. This is extremely useful for having an edge in Boss% categories.

As described, to do this:

• Pause in the loading screen for the level
• Unpause (possibly multiple times but ordinarily not)
• Mouse cursor will appear then disappear
• The whole time the Buffering icon is visible in the corner, you can move around in the level whilst adding no time to the start. On consoles, it will work similarly but on PC the cursor visibility then invisibility shows what's going on a lot better.
