Basically what I am asking for is, when we submit a run you can put in which Class you were. But only the main groups.

So I submit an Any% run with a Force character, people can see the time difference between a Force run and a Hunter run.

Also this is probably worded horribly, it is like 4am and I just finished an all mission run... so yeah...

I think you're just asking for a Class variable to be added. But yeah, great idea

yeah Class variable. I couldn't think of the word last night

That would be pretty nice to have, instead of having to rely on comments for it. I wonder if the ID could be added similarly…?

Yeah, it's incredibly easy to add. The annoying part is checking existing runs and editing them lol

Well, we don't have many runs, so wouldn't be super difficult.

So is anyone going to implement this?

Maine, USA

I think it should be implemented. If the only thing holding back is looking through the old footage to see what class the person played, it shouldn't be an issue. You can see your class within the first minute of footage.

I am interested in seeing how a Force Any% goes, as I have been interested in that as well.

France

I added the Class variable with all 12 classes as values. However, the boards will look empty until the runs are edited to have the variable set. I only edited my run so far as a test. I can do the rest later but it'll take some time since I need to check the vods (even though I assume most runs use RAcast)

EDIT : There's an option to set the default value (RAcast) to all runs with no value, so I did that. Runs that don't use RAcast will still have to be edited. At least the board isn't empty anymore.

Thanks! Glitched uses RAct but the glitchless categories do not

Would it be possible to add Section ID too? I think instead of as text it should be possible to add it as an icon? Maybe that’d be better. I don’t know where to find images of section IDs though.

If I’m made mod even just temporarily I volunteer to go through all runs and correct their class (and ID if it’s added).

Edit: Maybe we could use these icons: http://www.pso-world.com/sectionids/2/VIRIDIA.gif http://www.pso-world.com/sectionids/2/GREENILL.gif http://www.pso-world.com/sectionids/2/SKYLY.gif http://www.pso-world.com/sectionids/2/BLUEFULL.gif http://www.pso-world.com/sectionids/2/PURPLENUM.gif http://www.pso-world.com/sectionids/2/PINKAL.gif http://www.pso-world.com/sectionids/2/REDRIA.gif http://www.pso-world.com/sectionids/2/ORAN.gif http://www.pso-world.com/sectionids/2/YELLOWBOZE.gif http://www.pso-world.com/sectionids/2/WHITILL.gif

Well, I'm not a fan of having too many variables to be honest. Plus, there is no way to add them as images anyway.

Section ID I wouldn't see as important. Sure it increases your odds of finding certain items, but it's it is quite possible to find the item you're looking for in a speedrun (namely a shotgun) with any section ID, and I have gone through games without even finding one on the Section ID that is supposed to drop them regularly.

Italy

There are “rumors” that section IDs determine your maps too though, and a Shot drop is only relevant for any%– there are many other categories in this game.

@Gyoo: I thought I saw some other game using icons for something similar… I don’t remember what game it was though. Adding them as text would definitely not look as good as if they were just icons.

Maine, USA

could always just make them into an icon for use in 1st, 2nd, 3rd place trophies. ¤shrugs¤ a thought.

British Columbia, Canada

how would you rank them though (cause we all know Pinkal is best)

Ontario, Canada

Adding ID is pretty meaningless. The class thing is a welcome change, but at the moment the default view of the leaderboard (at least for me) only shows runs currently marked as RAcast, which is a little odd.

Italy

“EDIT : There's an option to set the default value (RAcast) to all runs with no value, so I did that. Runs that don't use RAcast will still have to be edited. At least the board isn't empty anymore.”

Something wrong is going on. Non-RAcast runs don’t show up unless you pick “Filter Class: Any”, and when you do that you get doubled submissions (I have a RAcast and a FOnewm any% Episode 1 glitchless submissions).

Edit: Yeah basically runs are being separated by class. This shouldn’t be happening, the class should just be extra info you can filter by. At least that’s how I understood the topic in the first place…

The variables filters are a bit buggy. This is a known bug that has been there for a while, but I don't know when it will be fixed.
