Question by a new runner.

Hey guys, I'm John, I go by HellsPride online. I'm a new runner to this game inspired by JayMota's speedruns :)

I play the Steam version of the game, which I believe is derived from the PS3 rerelease, with an xbox 360 peripheral controller. I was building up Grade and noticed in the guides that I could download an outside save file that already had enough Grade to begin NG+ runs and I saved it into the proper folder where my other save files are but it doesn't show up in game. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance for any and all help and I hope to get a run of this game done soon!

I find it easier for the file to appear if you restart the game multiple times or if you save a non related file then restart the game if it doesn't work please let me know and I'll find a much quicker solution for you.

I tried all you suggested as well as rebooting steam and my computer as a whole. Nothing seems to be making it appear. I even tried redownloading the save file and placing it back into the folder with my other saves.

EDIT: Sorry for the issue, it just randomly appeared, not sure what it was I did, thank you for your quick replies though! Next step is setting my Twitch stream up but other than that I'm gonna be practicing!

Lol yeah it tends to pop up randomly. Steam saves are a bit weird in that regard

Now that all of that is settled, my next question is what do you believe is the proper way to practice? Make multiple saves in different sections? Doing segmented runs? Running through to the end and then adjusting from there? This is my first speed game and its kind of a long run compared to most speed games and am not sure how to tackle this first part.

I would recommend making practice files for each boss and practicing the Mystic Arte glitch that is explained at the bottom of the NG+ route for PC. It'll make more sense when you practice it. Spend time trying to understand the boss AI in case it does something differently and study the menus and practice them. I know this sounds like a lot but once you get more into it you'll see how easy this run is compared to the more technical GameCube run

Okay so my I'll do a dry run first to get the practice saves. I think the mystic arte glitch will take a bit of time to get used to but it should be fine. Menus won't be a problem its going to be a process. I'm also gonna be ready to stream in the coming week because I'm learning OBS right now. I'd love for you to jump in sometime if you have time for some tips!

Again I can't thank you enough for the time you've taken to help! You're awesome.
