Hey guys, Ive browsed on here for a while but finally joined. I'm looking to try and submit some PS1 Speed Runs, but I'm not sure how to do it correctly. Anyone with help on what's needed to submit.
I have a Webcam if needed, but stll play on all classic systems. PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, N64 and others. Thanks, and good luck on future runs guys!!!
Thank you guys, I feel like these are dumb questions, but Ive been trying to google the information, if anyone can help. Whats the easiest/cheapest way to do PS1/Ps2 games? I'm thinking like Crash/Spyro Maybe FFVIII. To record the run.
As long as the webcam can record at 30FPS (So that there's no frame skips in the recording) most boards should allow you to use a recording of the screen, which will be the cheapest.
The best option however, would be to get a capture card. I have no experience with these so unfortunately I can't inform you on them, perhaps another forum poster can.
Ozotuh, Ill have to double check it. Not sure what FPS is it, just know I paid like $60 for it lol.
KnightDmG, Ill check out Emulators, I love them, but haven't played/used one in years. Just feel sketchy using them lol. But Ill pick up an ezcap for $10 just to mess with it for fun.
Thanks for the help guys, any other suggestions, post em up.
If you're looking at emulators then talk to the mods of the games you're going to be running. Certain emulators don't emulate the speed of the actual game, loads and such properly, which can skew timings. I know this is a huge problem for the VisualBoyAdvance GBA emulator, and is a problem for others too.
