While ticking "emulator" makes sense, what's the point of Web/Android when you already have "Web" and "Mobile App"?
For example: Having "Mobile app" version + "Web" platform makes no sense, since "mobile app" means it must be on android. Am I missing something? Thanks
Mobile/Web is different from the mobile version and the PC Web version. Mine field is different size.
Please explain more clearly
PC (Web) has a minefield in some X size Mobile App has a minefield in some Y size (that isn't X) That's why we have "Version" to choose between ("Web" and "Mobile App")
My main issue is with the "Platform" column, why does it exist? We already have the "Version" thing, it seems to me like the same thing.
Now with "touchscreen" and "keyboard/mouse" controls, we can even choose to say "touchscreen + web" so people would know it's still on the phone, but using the browser and not the app.
You don't understand what I mean. There's no reason to put "platform" where we already put "version". Both are just ways to differentiate between PC and Mobile.
This should make it more clear: https://imgur.com/gbbDe7v
My point: Why have both, and not just one of them? (Version or Platform, what's the difference?)
Just to be clear: I never said PC and Mobile are the same. Obviously I'm not that dumb considering I submitted times to both.
because the platform thing is by default on speedrun.com and I can't make a subcategory out of it, so I have to make a different variable in order to make it into a subcategory.
The platform thing just defines what will be next to your time on the leaderboard:
So i tried to work around it by using different naming so we now have "version" and "Platform"
Oh, so we are stuck with "Platform" because SRC assumes there's always different platforms, now I get it. It's a shame it can't made into a subcategory.
Web runs done on devices that google recognises as phones (the ones with vertical layout) have been moved over to the mobile category, as there is no discernable difference between the two.
So basically:
Vertical Layout is MOBILE (either website or the app) and must be played with touchscr
