I have applied with the apply moderator page and have been rejected because of "moderator active" even though it is one moderator and I want to help out. It told me to message a moderator and I took that too literally and did a support ticket for an actual moderator. I know how to create a game and moderator. Do I just submit games that need it or just reach out to game moderators asking them if i can moderate their game.
The support tickets are specifically for replacing inactive moderators. You probably should've read the support ticket page a little more closely. Most games with active moderators do not need any additional moderators. If you want to ask anyway, simply ask the game's current super mod, but don't be surprised if the answer is no.
Also, submitting a run specifically to try to become a moderator is really bad form: https://www.speedrun.com/Snowboard_Obby/runs/zqq368xz
I honestly just wouldn't bother with any of this. There is absolutely no need to try to become a moderator right away. I understand wanting to help, but frankly you could end up doing more harm than good if you dive in head first without really understanding how anything works. Just focus on actually running the game for a while if you truly want to, you can circle back around to moderating later if/when it makes more sense.
I have been reading the moderator form for like 6 months now and I think I am ready. I have examined how to do it but it was a bit confusing in the apply lines because some of the links it told me to click said inactive. It told me to apply for the game. Sorry for the confusion. I edited my thing only because I did it and I realised I did bad so then I just uploaded it and used it just to cover up. I have examined the Snowboard Obby page from back to cover and have read the rules and have watched others speedrun so I know how to do it. There is only one moderator for the game and they joined after I did by a month. I only applied for moderator for that game because I really like that game and was trying to moderate a few of my favorite games. I was honestly going to create Snowboard Obby until I checked if it was on the page and it was. I have been in the community thread responding to some peoples confused questions. I mainly do Pet Simulator 99 speedruns because I do them alright. I did do Pet Simulator 99 before I relised I could moderate. I have watched multiple videos of how moderating works. I only started wanting to moderate Snowboard Obby because I played it and thought I would enjoy speedrunning it. Then I saw only one moderator on it so I decided to apply.
Sorry, I did change my submission because I was beating 1st place at some point then I did something wrong and stuffed up multiple times and didn't really want to speedrun it again. With all this new information do you think I should apply or just create a speedrun game (I have an idea).
