The Story Mode in Mario Party 2 is not so long as in Mario Party 1.
The Story Mode is beating all Maps and that goes for six hours.

incidentally in C:\Program Files\Project64 x.x\Save must not his file "MarioParty2.eep" be, check this before you start the game when you play on PJ64, when you play on wii64 must not his file in x(USB Stick or SD Card): \wii64\saves be
This looks like a cool way to waste six hours. Is this with all boards played with 20 turns?
If you've done a run of this, PM me so I can add it as a category. I will make it a misc. category though. If you don't get any response to the turn question you can decide yourself how many turns you want it to be, since you're the first to run it ;)
Well, I guess today I will make one. All I need to do is make sure I can be in peace and quiet for about 6 hours. OpieOP
Ok, so 1st try: kinda rough. Won Pirate Land in about 50 minutes and 30 seconds, but got trolled hard by Peach on Western Land. So far, learned that item games and battle games and duel games are brutal. Playing with No Bonus is tough too, but it'll save 6 minutes (1 minute approximately times 6 boards). Tough, but doable. Has anyone else tried yet?
I did a lot of full runs on emulator and got my time down to 4:55:38
Even if you guys have a sticky about emu I think you should consider this since its a really good run and I don't think anyone's beating it for a while :) it's my forth fully completed run with lots of failed runs due to troll RNG.
Im only running emu because my NTSC carts haven't arrived yet and PAL obviously sucks lol
Fresh file each run Hard Mode + 20 Turns + Bonuses Timing starts when you start the first level End timing on fadeout after coins, then the game is truly over
The run uses a lot of cool stalling AI strats, quick minigame strats etc :)
Heya! We’re introducing a new timing rule update for Mario Party 2 Mini-Game Coaster.
Runners will now have the option to start their runs from saved data instead of beginning from a fresh start every time.
This change allows for quicker and smoother resets for platforms that can't saves
