Hey guys,

Suggestion for the site. I see so many people who choose a random "funny" flag (e.g. jay_cee with Antartica or porkytheunique with North Korea) because they don't feel like they belong in theirs.

So I was wondering if we should maybe include the flag of Planet Earth? I think that'd be awesome!

but why? thats just the same as not setting a flag. the people who choose a "funny" flag choose it because its "funny" not necessarily because "they dont feel like they belong in theirs"

I just think supporting Planet Earth is really nice. I support their cause. On their website there's more info. SRC would be at the forefront of progressive ideas by implementing that in my opinion.

I see the flags here as less of an individual identity thing and more of a "what part of the world is everybody from" thing. So, in practical terms, an Earth flag serves no purpose here.

Also, frankly, I have never seen this flag before in my life, and nothing about it screams "Earth" to me.

I like the idea, but I think you could just use a badge in replacement for this, or you could use the background of your profile picture. I've seen a couple of people who use pride flags in badges or the background in their profile pictures, so you could just do something like that instead. It's an interesting idea but I doubt it'd be added.

For Earth Day one year, Pac added "Earth" as a selectable country, but he removed it. The flag still exists though: speedrun.com/images/flags/ea.png
