So, the other day, I was playing SADX (casually. I'm not much of a speedrunner myself. Mostly due to lack of time). I was in Knuckles' story, in Lost World. The emerald piece was at the top of the big room with the gravity panels, so I climbed up to the ceiling. The piece was on the other side of the room, though, so I went to glide, and I sort of just, rocketed towards the other side. I did it again, and it happened again. What happens is, the collision detection isn't the greatest on the ceiling, so Knuckles passes through for a split second, but is still gliding, so, he stays at the top, and doesn't descend. You need to be going in sort of a straight line for it to work. Could this be a possible speedrunning strat, or just another silly glitch?
I can't think of anywhere this would be useful in a run sadly. Climbing takes a long time, and we just ignore the emerald hunting in Lost World.
Hi all, just an update on the console boards...
XBLA and PSN have been separated into different sub-categories. While this may stifle competition in the console boards overall, it should make things more fair.
I have manually retimed all of the XBLA runs above a certain time threshold without cuts
