That might be a very silly question. But I moderate this game that is one of my preffer games of all times, but it doesn't have a lot of competition.

This game is one of those that is a lot of fun to play casually, but is hard to speedrun. And although very few people feel interest in speedrunning it, I know that many people play it casually,
So I decided to create a thread for "possible online multiplayer games", as the game have a very fun split screen.

So here's the silly question, out of curiosity or for whatever reason:
I wish to know if according to Speedrun.com major rules It's freely allowed to have game forums as a place to meet people for multiplayer online?
I ask this because I know that the main purpose of the community should be the speedrunning competition. And there are other forums and places for this kinda lobby
So, is it allowed: Yes? No? And what are the restrictions?
I mean the forums aren’t best suited for that kinda discussion anyway, a discord would be much better to organize things and talk about that kinda stuff.
That being said, I don’t think the site explicitly limits those kind of topics, but the game mods/community may not be thrilled about it cluttering the forums with offtopic threads.
tbqh I'm expecting game forums to get nuked sometime in the future. It's all superseded by Discord servers, even for games that have like 4 people running them.
Banning people for whatever reason. Discord links only handed out to certain people over others etc.
