The 1.4 version of RimWorld will be released soon, and also a new DLC is upcoming: Biotech. I have added variables for these versions in the submission system, but community input is needed on the impact of these versions for speedrunning: Whether to allow those in the same leaderboard, whether to create new ones, whether there is a reason to forbid Biotech DLC (reasons include that it might trivialize some categories, no idea if that’s the case), and so on.

All these variables and restrictions seem overly complicated at this point. I would simply have 'No DLC' and 'DLC permitted' (i.e. all DLC, including Ideology) be two sub-categories for all the categories. Many games do it this way, rather than trying to make some 'truth table' out of the various DLCs.

Idk about Biotech, seems not having as much impact, but don’t know for sure.

Regarding no DLCs category, I think Royalty should be permitted, as it’s more fun to play with and makes some long categories simpler, though not trivial.
