So after The Contract I've been trying to do the death warp on the finale mission of Cayo Perico Heist. When I try it I respawn with the guards alerted. Anyone tested this too?
Yes, no matter if to the left or to the right (on the cliff) the guards are always alerted in my testing.
So its still possible when being far away enough from the island (but still close to be respawned on it)?
should work as soon as you gain control (being in 1st person when starting the heist allows you to have control immediately after the cutscene if you didn't know)
Oh alright, and thanks for the tip with first person, very cool trick. But doing a later warp onto the island where you can skip getting a bike and just have to walk a short bit till getting directly to the compound door isnt possible anymore, is it? Comparing your run seems like it saves 0:15 on entry to the compound (and a total time of 2:00 to compound exit, which is very impressive to me). But for me at least (doing glitchless runs) this means having to do the Longfin prep which with ideal RnG is 0:45 longer (at least when im doing it) compared to the Kosatka prep. Sadly they patched the late warp which makes things even faster and sadly this only works in non hard mode. The compound route with this entry is definitely faster tho!
"But doing a later warp onto the island where you can skip getting a bike and just have to walk a short bit till getting directly to the compound door isnt possible anymore, is it?" never heard of this sorry
It was possible before the Contract DLC if I remember correctly. Doing that you would continue to drive the longfin all the way to the cliff thats to the very right of that drainage outlet you are aiming for. Only when arriving on that cliff one would suicide. Then you would spawn just some odd 100m before Rubios helipad, basically just infront of your entry point. So its an older strat that was made impossible. In an even older Online version it was possible to just straight up jump on the island there, tho they added an invisible clip to prevent that.
