I have been thinking about more category ideas other than what is currently present.
What if we added minigame categories? The minigames listed for the category would be those listed on the minigame records section and the games from the extras room.
Also, I was thinking of running, for example, "The Final Battle!". The run would be how fast one could beat the level (timer starts when game is selected/player gains movement of character and ends when Bowser's final heart is gone).
I think it would make the game a lot more diverse than simply running story mode.
Let me know what you guys think.

Would love to introduce times for individual mini games.
My roommate and I are itching to do some Dungeon Duos speedruns!
We should seriously reconsider this once again. These high score sites that have individual minigame times are notoriously unaccredited, outdated, and underutilized. This would be a much better medium for minigame speedruns times. Why not?
What about adding IL speedruns for each board? Same rules as Story Mode (15 turns, all minigames, no handicap, any difficulty, any character), time starts when the host is selected (Story Mode) or the settings are confirmed (Party Mode) and ends when you win and hit "skip" on the results board.
It'd be a lot more accessible for people who don't have time to spend 4 1/2+ hours to speedrun the whole story mode, but still want to speedrun Mario Party 4 to experience the minigames and play their favorite boards.
Realize this is an old thread, but as someone looking to start running this game, I think an All Minigames category could have some value.
