I remember JTB mentioning and demonstrating how to avoid the Verdugo at the end of 4-1, but I can't find out how to replicate it. Help? Btw, I'm running the original GC version on console.
I don't know if it's any different from other versions of the game, I don't think it is apart from 60fps of course since I know for a fact this trick is different on 60. There's a couple ways of going about it, but what you do when you get L+ R QTE is watch for the flashing light around the button prompt; when it reaches the fourth flash that is the frame you want to perform an action. Most people backstep for a moment, but there's a few other things you could do instead that works equally. Personally I tap the Knife button, you can also tap the aim button.
Lastly the AB QTE is a bit simpler: when you see it just keep walking back until he attacks that works out usually.
