I'm still exploring it but I'm leaning towards ending on the last emerald, it feels like anything past that would be arbitrary, but if we want an arbitrary goal maybe could fly somewhere like the death egg

There aren't any forms besides super right now, and there's not really anywhere to go with super besides the death egg but that's just a long pointless flight. After more exploring I really feel like it should just be getting all the emeralds and end on the last one unless other people have ideas

I believe if we were to fly to an area after obtaining all emeralds, it should only be limited to the super form because the dark form is now an exclusive form seeing how the gamepasses are now off-sale. But I do support the idea of just stopping after getting all the emeralds.

Well, didn't notice it changed THAT much... Guess I'll have to do more research on it then. The Homing Attack is broken however, so I might take me forever to observe that much.

A question for the rules that Vivi and I were discussing: should it be allowed to start timing before landing on the ground? You spawn in the air, high enough that you can immediately dash on top of a building allowing for a quicker path to the white emerald if you want to route towards it first. Vivi's against letting it start there since you'd have to reset to really go for it meaning you'd have a first input before actually starting the run, I'm for it since I see it as your first input after spawning and because you can technically do it when you first join the server. So we wanted to hear the community's thoughts before the category was actually established

Btw you can fix homing attack by rejoining the server, and I haven't had it bug out since the first time I joined post-update

I believe we should let the game fix a few bugs before speedrunning begins. Maybe a month or so?

Yeah we were thinking at least a week or two, I've just been doing runs for fun and we were talkin about it so wanted to mention it

If you want my take, there could be sub categories for each individual emerald, i say this because there probably should only be ones for Red%, Cyan%, Green% and White%.

That would be a great idea instead of just having one category. It also attracts more runs (and maybe new players)

ILs wouldn't be the worst idea, but it'd be more enticing to add a category if you do a run for it to like show it's worth it, and cyan and white would be super short 30 second runs while red and green would be only slightly longer with more running at the start so don't really know how much activity those would bring in

Yeah ig, really depends on where you start, either the stage or spawn in game, i do have videos that are closer to 30s or so runs for specific stages after all, so i see your point.
