Hey, I developed a Speedrun mod 1 year ago that's 95% ready to publish, that I stopped working on due to other projects that needed my attention. Maybe some of you know my username, I was the developer for xPulz and my SOTF mods were used in the biggest community tournaments.

The main features are time tracking, different leaderboards/modes/categories, an in-game progress bar and automatically pulling leaderboard data from the web.

My favorite mode is spawn to level 20, because it is a good practice for the regular game.

I am not sure if mods are allowed at all for speedrunning, but given that the leaderboards are empty for this game and how long it'd take to do a speedrun from 0% to a cave, yet to beat the game 100% for example is very discouraging for speedrunners who don't want to spend a day on every single attempt. The modes in this mod force certain rules (that could be changed according to the will of this forum) that allow shorter speedrun categories.

I know ARK isn't a game meant for speedrunning, but it is my favorite game and if you guys are interested and if it is allowed I could pick up the development. Let me know what you think!

If you want to put serious effort in for a speedrun category of another sort just message me on discord and we can talk about it, I don't get notifications on speedrun.com reliably.

There should be individual categories for the different platforms, since some platforms have their own advantages and disadvantages.
