New category/filter for Any% request

Recently I've been trying a run meant to be used for marathons as a showcase, it's been a lot of fun and I think it deserves a full category, or at least a filter dedicated to it.

Since we always do the gather quests/ kill baggies and the obrigatory rampage quest and ignoring them, we have exacly 14 quests to finished Village% and 14 weapon types to select

So here is the rule set:

  • DLC limited - Only gets defender weapons and blackbelt armors (S included) from "Senri the Mail Courier"
  • All weapons used - Use every type of weapon at least one full major threat hunt (1 monster - 1 weapon)
  • No duplicate item Glitch
  • No layered armors/weapons
  • No mods

Since it was meant to be used for showcases, in a way chat/donators can select the weapon order in a fixed monster order (I mean, if we select the monster after the weapon selection there is no point) and for Leaderboard I think letting the runner preset the order is better for optimized runs, I think 2 filters would be nice

  • Random/External choice
  • Fixed

I summitted the run as an Any% multiple weapons but I don't think it fits

Hi Mirageiw! I'll take a look at the run when I can! It's a fun idea, but it does fit into the Muliple weapon variable. Unfortunately, it's not a uniquely different run to warrant an entirely new category.

There's no reason you cannot continue to run in this way. I personally find this creativity and fun. I may try it out myself in the future.

Feel free to continue recommending categories, but keep in mind the following: • New categories should be uniquely different from existing categories and, when possible, exclusive from existing categories; and • New categories must have community interest: meaning multiple runners should be willing and excited to run and improve the category, not only in the immediate but over time as well.

Thanks Jal, I think I "misspoken", it's more of a suggestion than a request I think
