Start of run should be different?

Idk if im the weird one here but shouldn't the run start once she finishes talking for the first task? I've watched multiple runs and I see alot of inconsistencies when it comes to when they start "Loaded in". I hear galacta talk sometimes well before someone loads in and some where she talks almost immediately before someone loads in. For all I know, that could be accounted for but since there are records of different versions I feel it should start on the completion beep. Anyone else?

You bring up a great point! It looks like people who have a slower load-in have a slight advantage against people with really fast loads. I checked it out and retimed the top 7 runs from when they load-in to when the fish target appears:

1- Mod edit: retimed to 0:06.817 (start: 454, end: 863, FPS: 60)
2- Mod edit: retimed to 0:06.350 (start: 743, end: 1124, FPS: 60)
3- Mod edit: retimed to 0:07.300 (start: 10, end: 229, FPS: 30)
4- Mod edit: retimed to 0:07.500 (start: 25, end: 250, FPS: 30)
5- Mod edit: retimed to 0:07.783 (start: 567, end: 1034, FPS: 60)
6- Mod edit: retimed to 0:07.767 (start: 502, end: 968, FPS: 60)
7- Mod edit: retimed to 0:07.783 (start: 120, end: 587, FPS: 60)

Pretty much every run's idle start before the first task is given is different, with the top runs having a slower load-in. I think I'll change the official start to when the fish target appears, it'll normalize the times and show a better representation of the actual runs. Will retime the runs during the week, thanks for bringing it up @jaepil1994 :)

Ah so it was a slight oversight! Thanks! I was planning on sending in a run but I kept being around 3 seconds short of the WR and was trying to see if it was completely me or if there was something else slightly in play. Of course i dont mind being short of WR but it seemed so far compared to what they were doing lol

New Start Locations for Tutorial Runs

Hey! So it turns out that the initial load-ins for all of the Tutorial categories can have a significant effect on a run's final time (slower loads = advantage, faster loads = disadvantage). So to normalize it, here are the new start locations for all 3 tutorial categories:

  • Basic Tutorial: Ti
