Is Mupen64Plus's core through Bizhawk allowed for runs here?

I read over the rules and saw that mupen64plus alongside with RMG were allowed for runs here - not sure if any runs done with Bizhawk running the mupen core are actually fine here or not.

I've played with it these days since it is compatible with RetroAchievements in Hardcore Mode, but also because GlideN64 through it actually allows for a crispy good 320x240 view [as trying to do the same on RAPJ64 messes with the 2D elements for some reason]. I also prefer the mupen64plus core since the ares64 one runs terrible on my current PC.

In any case, whether the Bizhawk + M64P core can be considered allowed or not, let me know.

I like Bizhawk too, but it uses a severely outdated version of Mupen64Plus. It's also looking very unlikely to be updated anytime soon.

But I see that our emulator section in the rules is a bit misleading in regards to Mupen. There isn't a standalone version of the M64P core and yet we list it as if there was one available. The section is essentially written as a whitelist.

So in conclusion, we deliberately did not allow Bizhawk, but I can see why you were unsure about it. We should discuss this in the mod chat again. Meanwhile, I hope you can work with one of the available options.

Oh, alright, thanks for the reply. Very appreciated to have got one this fast.

Yeah I've played with Bizhawk mainly due to the cheevos [got curious about trying to submit times here since I had got a 29 flap at Port Blue - not a huge time according to the boards here but was neat to get once] but I've used RMG for N64 games before just fine on my PC, so I should be able to try for some time trials over it whenever I'm done with the WR64 set [did the all 1st Hard championship run yesterday...now the Expert one awaits]
