This is a quicker and safer way to perform the skip.

At the angle of the barrier, there is a bump on the ground, from which you can jump onto the barrier. On this segment of barrier, there no caulk (curiously). But on the next there is, it this caulk wall we were getting round by clipping through the level. So from where you are, you can jump onto the caulk, and there you have enough height to safely jump onto the cylinder.

The momentum is easier to control this way, and it represents a 3-4 sec gain. (Yes that's not as incredible as Your_Solution's findings)

That's really nice. Thanks!

and for those who did not see, Thinks The Clown had it already :

it's only a 6 sec gain, but I take it ! Thanks

Does the model just get stuck and the game keep shoving you up until it's unstuck?

France

I don't think so, in this game getting stuck means the game continuously thinks you fall, as an evidence you can get stuck, type "ghost" in the console in order to traverse the map, and your current momentum will draw you downwards.

This works more like the "bumps" we already found, since hitting the box with the right angle will make you bounce. I absolutely don't know why the model is lifted upwards though.

I recall of another place where such phenomenon appears, in the first Kashyyyk level, during the trandoshan ambush, if you stand right where a metal panel falls to block the way, you'll be lifted instead of dying. IDK why either

Also for having played the game a lot, this can happen to the other clones, it's not rare to see them bugging up, sometimes getting stuck inside a wall

I'm pretty sure why this (and the superbumps) happen. When you run into unusual geometry in the level, the game gets confused and you actually clip into the geometry. It then panics and tries to push you out so you aren't able to clip through things. For the superbumps, jumping removes your friction, so if you jump on the exact frame it pushes you out, you maintain the speed from the push. For this case, when you clip into the box the game is confused and doesn't know to push you "out" and instead pushes you up out of the geometry. It also makes sense for cases where the level geometry gets pushed into your, or other pawns geometries. It tries to get you out and pushes you up.

Yes. On the first Kashyyyk mission, in the last section of the level where you are ambushed by trandos in a dead end, if you stand exactly where a metal panel falls down to block the way out, then you are push on top off it and can fight on the same floor the trandos are. It's no use, though, and I don't think there's any useful instances of this glitch.

I also tend(ed) to try a lot of close range jumps or crouches in odd geometries, crates, wherever I wish I could glitch out, but no findings to report unfortunately
