Are there any ways to increase the brightness in game other than the slider in the options menu or the brightness of my monitor

I don't think there is but I'll try to find out for certain.

For future reference it would be easier to make a new post with a topic specific to your question. But there are two block next to the door that leads into statues, a small one and a large one. You are going to drag the small one off the large one with you hand then push it manually into the mini game.
